I soloed through the Cascades in mid july to Vancouver Island in 2018. There was a hint of fires but it was awesome..and clear the whole way. Was about 10 miles from a fire in the middle of nowhere coming back through BC. Highly recommend hwy 2 and 20 across the northern states.
It’s been 1 year since you’ve uploaded.. I’m not sure if you’re still doing this motorcycle RU-vid thing. But I was wondering if you could give me a run down on how you camp on a super sport. I plan on doing it this summer and can’t find any videos on things to pack and storage containers for supersports
Hey man, me again. Great channel. In my earlier life, I spent a fair of time between the SW corner of Missouri, and Montana. Familiar landscapes. These days it's mostly about Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. Great riding there. Too many roads to list. May, early June, or later in September is the time to be there. Too many fires, and heat in the summer. I don't use GPS either. Better to actually know where you are. I should probably start shooting video, along with the still images I look for. Cheers!
Did you ever put a rivetted master link on? You get tools that do it it for cheap then problem solved. Love the videos, I'm local so fun seeing local road trips when I'm not riding.
I got a semi related question to ask you. I have an option to buy either a 2011 650 (like yours) or a 2015 650, which has 4 fewer NM of torque. What's your 0.02?
The difference in weight is gunna be the difference, i think about 40 lbs. The newer 650's performance wise are better because of this, 40lbs is a noticible amount of weight on bike. Engine difference is so minimal I wouldnt worry. Id pick the one you like the looks of the most and that seems to be the best deal.
