I got this exact model a week ago and am basically cooking everything in it. I love it. I can't speak highly enough of it. We're having burger and fries tonight because those look awesome. I have cooked salmon fillets several times and they come out better than in my favorite restaurant. If you are thinking about getting one, get one. I waited ages before taking the plunge and am so glad I did. Great video.
Yesss, I heard the crispness of the fries! I’m waiting to see how it does WINGS! This air fryer is in my Walmart basket right now. Thanks for sharing.🍃🌺🍃
I just might start talking those Ore Ida fries to that temperature all the time... they were definitely better than usual... thanks for watching mzbrazell !! Can't wait to see what you come up with for it!!!
I'm an older single person living by myself I bought the instant vortex mini it has served me well but today I picked up the Ninja foodie like what you're displaying because I wanted to be able to make an entree and a side air fryers are probably one of the most useful kitchen tools ever invented
Just think about it. If you are a family of four that eats out 2-3 times a week , this thing would pay for itself in a couple of weeks or less. It's easy and safer than eating out. I'm sold!!
I have done fried chicken, roasted zucchini , fries, chicken nuggets , roasted red potatoes and I’ll have to say. This thing is the real deal. Works fantastic. Now I’m eagerly awaiting the ninja smart grill XL. I prefer doing burgers , steaks etc. bigger cuts of meat on the ninja foodi grill and I’m hoping the new grill is just a bigger version of its grilling feature with the grill grates
Because of this video this ninja was on my radar for a while especially after getting two ninja foodie max units which smoked up my kitchen, set off my smoke alarm, and blew out on me within 1 month of each other. Once on fourth of July when trying to make a burger and then the replacement burnt out in August. I had this unit since August and it's been going strong, it's been cranking out good burgers, crispy shrimps and Buffalo wings. This unit out performs the max and the double basket saves my family so much time. I can make fries in one basket and my son use the other basket for Mozzarella sticks. Best switch I made. 👌🏾
Very good to hear...I love this device and I think it is a excellent idea...I have a Max too but i have not had problems with it... hate to hear you did...thanks for watching!!!
It does look like a neat device!!! I bet Santa is going to need a trailer to pull behind his sled with all these new devices... got a feeling the kitchen gadget market is gonna be busy this year...lol
@@JohnSanders Hi John. Even if your not doing large batches?? Two single air fryers have same capacity and cook quicker. Having the double somewhat defeats some of the purpose of using an air fryer. There’s just two of us but the flexibility of placing the machines where I want plus cooking time could be a factor. This should be maybe be highlighted when promoting the double basket style that they are are 40 percent slower than a single because the wattage is split between two baskets. Thanks!.
I'm addicted to the potato chip slices(also Irish Nachos, can you make them some time?) in the ninja foodi grill in the crisper, no more potatoes getting pitched. This Dual Zone Air Fryer looks like a great option!
@@chrislynam2442 Hi Chris, Here in the USA its a thing, especially in Irish Pubs and that is what they are called. Give it a try, your Irish brothers and sisters in the USA love them!
Sure looks tasty... I know I will want one of these but talking the wife into another cooking gadget from Ninja, well that may take some time!. Fabulous video John...
Ninja is the best! I know I’m gna get at least 2 of the new products for sure 😩 they just take all of my money. My husband doesn’t even complain anymore bc he loves the food I make with them lol. Thanks for all your videos John!!
Thank you for this helpful video, quick question, say i wanna eat something before the other side finishes, is that possible? I mean instead of the HOLD part to begin zone 2, is there a way to get them to begin as same time with one ending before the other, would that be match cook? Thank you!!
You can start then independently... and take the food out whenever you're ready... or in other words...treat them as if they were 2 different air fryers... hope this helps and thanks for watching!!!
Thank you for the video… unfortunately my “Smart Finish” won’t work… I set both times and temps and hit it and they both start at the same time still 😢
Hey John, I have question. I have several ninja appliances and most of them have 3 prongs on the cord. I just got this dual zone and it only has a 2 prong. Does yours have a 2 or 3 prong cord. Just wondering if they cut corners on mine. Thanks much for your info.
I do sometimes.. especially if I'm going to have the basket out for an extended amount of time but I rarely do when shaking... I'm sure it wouldn't hurt though...thanks for watching!!!
Got this for for my birthday and I love it. I cooked some chicken and fries. I can't wait to make burgers and fries. It is so simple to clean. Your dog is so cute.
Can you tell me if your Ninja Dual Basket Air Fryer makes a clicking sound when you are cooking food in both baskets at the same time. I don't notice the clicking sound when I am only cooking in one .
Just received this for Christmas and needed to watch some how to videos. But what caught my eye was the knife you use to cut the burgers. What type of knife is it? Great video by the way😀
I'm gonna buy the 10QT one just released is about $210 ..but gonna wait till blk Friday to buy one in good sale price this is good to replace the toaster oven with
Aw, I love your videos. I enjoy your accent and Southern charm! You can tell that you have a good heart. One question: When you put cooked items in your big plastic bowl and put the lid on, does it make them less crunchy from the steam?
I have never ran across that exact answer... they refer to them as non stick... but they do not state what type product it actually is... or i have not been able to find it...I do not believe it is ceramic though but I am really not sure... hope this helps and thanks for watching!!!
Ninja 10qt model, ok made 2 burgers 390 for 20 minutes and waffle frys 400 for 20 minutes. Flip/shake half way and Frys finished 370 degrees when tested burger came in around 165. I liked 2 draws cooking and going to take time to figure out but looks like the recommend time/temps from book are pretty much spot on. Time is the big change here, just going to need start your dinner earlier than regular air fryer but finish at same time saves reheating food sitting around getting cold.
Have been binge watching videos, thanks for sharing your time and expertise! I have a question for ya. Knowing what you know now AND if you only had two choices, what would be your first Ninja air fryer purchase, the Ninja Foodi Dual Zone Air Fryer or the Ninja Air Fryer Max XL?
@@JohnSanders Thanks dear for your response! I fully admit that I tend to over-research things, I so appreciate your feedback! Even though I like the idea of cooking two things at once, those baskets seem awful small. And when I look at the manual, using both baskets drastically increases the time to cook stuff. For example, cooking 2 lbs of wings in single zone takes 18-22 mins but in dual zone the time literally doubles to 43-47 mins! Wow! I was expecting that if it took 20 - 25 minutes to cook wings and about the same to cook fries, then if I used the dual air fryer, I would throw my wings in one basket and fries in another, set that timer to maybe 25 minutes and voila! I just feel like Ninja's marketing of the true functionality and capacity of this fryer is a bit misleading.
I have many and this is one of the ones I use..mi will say that depending on your needs this is a very useful device that does what it does very well... hope this helps and thanks for watching!!!
How much total fries can I get in each basket? Someone said it's big enough to make fries for 6 ppl. So couod it get around 1kg fries in there? Also how easy are the compartments to clean? I'm a clean freak!
I love how the dog looks up as the video is ending as if to say 'Thank F++k that's over. Ordered one of these Ninja Foodi's and I have to say it really is a game changer. Trial and error as far as timings go on the dual function but mainly when using different frozen products. Make sure to get the one with the extra functions if you want to use it for making bread/baking. Costs about 20-30 notes more but worth it IMO. I paid 174€ and purchased directly from Ninja kitchen, Germany. Anyway, thanks for sharing and I obviously hit the like button, mainly due to the dog......only joking.
That is good to hear Gordon... glad you liked the video and I'm good with whatever caused the thumbs up...lol... thanks again and thank you for watching!!!
Love all the ninja gadgets, but I do french fries and burgers in my ninja toaster air fryer oven. Think im gonna pass on this one. But the XL grill does have my attention
Great presentation. Very thorough and effective. Thank you. I cook for two about 99% of the time, and like to make my own food instead of buying expensive pre-cooked food from the supermarket deli, especially wings, which are expensive and dry. I am also tired of ordering expensive food delivered only to find it stone cold, especially the fries. I'm hoping an air fryer will allow me to make fresh meals quick and healthy. And hot!
I have not experienced any smells...I mean not any worse than any new appliance...I would do an initial burn in... or ruin it for 30 minutes or so on high before using it...
How do u think a steak on 1 side and a sweet potato on the other would work? Cause in my regular Foodi, i would do 35 min @ 375 for the potato and 12 min, same temp on the steak.
I feel positive that would work well... however the one they have on pre sale Model DZ201 has a broil function and it goes to 450°... that would be better but... thanks for watching!!!
