Hey Everyone, I get asked all the time how to make bacon. So I just uploaded a follow up video to this one showing how we make it, along with a few other tips. Check it out!
There is no way that I would pay 300 quid for that. The toast was not even toasted properly. 4 mins to do toast? Only room for one layer of food. I have a table top oven/grill. It has 3 layer if shelves..Settings for different foods. It even has a rotissori..The meat is beautiful..Cooks really quickly. Cooks toast evently. Roasts beautifully. Its an air oven. 85 pounds. you are paying for the name.
This is still a great video in 2024. Better than the instruction book. I was "regifted" one by a friend a few months ago and used it once, but had a hard time cleaning the pans and basket, so the Ninja Foodi became a decoration on my kitchen counter. RU-vid suggested your video today, and after watching, I am willing to try out the Foodi again. But, I will get that parchment paper from you first. Thanks a lot. Now off to look at some of your other videos.
That music track that you played while you were flipping up the oven cracked me up! I have this same exact Ninja and I have used it almost every meal since. I make sheet pan dinners mainly Mediterranean style way and have lost 40 lbs so far. And I am loving the food from this Ninja.
Thanks for the video! I've always dreamed of a double oven because I'm a big cook and baker. Stumbled upon this handy oven and realized it does everything (and more) a second oven would do!
So glad I found this Who knows how to use these appliances without instructions? Thank you for taking the time to invest in those of us who need more help..
Thanks for watching! Yeah, some comments have implied it was horrible. I was new and had not yet learned to balance sound in my editing so well. But while it is inconsistent, it is not obnoxious. ;) If you watch the others that follow they will be better!
Thank you so much for your amazing review! ❤️ Your presentation is awesome, it shows you know what your talking about, you have tested it properly. The only one review that I trust is yours! Your voice and efficient choices of words are a bonus!
I've just been gifted one of these, I live in Cozumel, Mexico in a studio, this is perfect for my kitchen. Of course I had to check a video on RU-vid and came across yours. Thanks!
I enjoyed your presentation .... calm and relaxed, totally informative. I'm looking at the Ninja 15 in One at this time. You answered a lot of questions for me. Thank you.
I truly enjoyed your video! You have such an awesome personality and the video was quite informative. I'm researching to purchase the SP101 today on Prime Day. Thanks!!
Ah! Thanks. I hope you find the one you want at a good price. But check out my other video review of the newer model. The 101 is great, but you may prefer some of the newer feature. The sear plate is very useful. I also have a bunch of cooking demos for features and then of course a LOT of non-ninja stuff. Hope that interests you as well.
Just bought this Ninja oven on Amazon prime day for a great price! I’m so happy with it so far. We have a very old gas/propane oven and I don’t like using it plus it’s too hot here in southern California. I loved your video it was very helpful thank you.
All Len has said about this Ninja oven is true and than some! Easy to use and takes little time to do a great job! Saves time, energy and makes life easy! So happy to own one!!
@@MrAndMrsBanks oh, I'm sure you're actively hilarious too. But, in this video you have a humorous way of talking and presenting the product. It's a compliment, don't worry! Happy New Year!
Dude... You are the Ninja Foodi maestro. You're like a 1st chair violinist with a Stradivarius. Seriously, thanks for all the tips. Also, for a future video idea - maybe tell us about any dehydrating you've done with it? I'm thinking especially about jerky or similar, but ANY info you could offer would be awesome. Thanks and take care.
I bought one at Costco a year ago. Finally got it out of box and figured out how to bake a pizza to start. It heats fast, pizza was perfect. I thought it was too complicated for me, now I have hope. My vision is bad. I left a gas burner on for days - to be allowed to stay in my home I had to give up gas stove. This will save energy and cooks better than gas oven.
Thank you for the helpful review ! You have a very nice and authentic “vibe” for lack of better terms. I can tell you are passionate in these products and love to help.
Great video. I’ve had this oven about four months, I’m still adjusting to it. One minor annoyance is even after the oven is completely cool the fan keeps running and the only way to stop it is to unplug the unit (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing) have considered it may be a defect but not enough to pack it up and deal with an exchange, of course my opinion may change if my house burns down. Anyone considering purchasing this oven should know that Costco currently has a $40 coupon bringing the price to $139.99 it’s valid thru 09/26/21 which seems pretty good compared to several prices I’ve seen. Thanks for the demonstration and I look forward to any future videos and cooking demos.
Thanks for the comment. Someone else mentioned the fan issue. I have no such issue so I would personally seek an exchange. That would would really annoy me. ;)
I was looking for different recipes for my Digital Ninja Air Fryer Oven. Trying out new things - really enjoyed your review and all the great ideas for the use. Looking forward to see your bake sheet video.
Great review, Len! Wouldn't you know it: the first two foods you demonstrated are the two most important ones for me on a regular basis: toast and pizza (yup, bachelor in small apt here! lol) - so your video was the perfect one to help me decide. If I may, a little backstory, which might help others in my situation to decide better: Been working with a regular old-fashioned toaster oven + a microwave for years, toaster broke, decided next one needed to come with a much deeper width so I could finally make 12" pizzas. First try was the Oster Turbo Convection Oven with Pizza Drawer - but, wouldn't you know it: it arrived damaged despite being encased in styrofoam. So, that immediately told me the metal and construction weren't so good and, indeed, handling the thing, it felt flimsy. Adding insult to injury, the pizza drawer, fantastic idea(!), but it didn't click-in to the slot like you'd think it would - to me, cheap, and a safety concern. Decided to just send back for a refund. I was then considering going with the Black + Decker Countertop Convection Toaster Oven, albeit with some very mixed reviews highlighting a few rather inconvenient aspects of it, when I saw this Ninja today on display at Costco. I did a doubletake - it seemed to be the answer to my needs and, for the most part, fit the bill of everything I was looking for. A nice, low profile at just 8" high, the great handle placement off to the side caught my eye as it's really convenient, plus greatly reduces the chance of getting your hand burned. Also, the door flips down with some tension so that it won't crash on your counter like the above-mentioned B+D does, as you reviewer stated. And then the interface with combination dial + buttons + digital - one of the best I've seen on a toaster oven this size. Overall, it's just really good-lookin'. And then your review sealed the deal, thank you very much - but you've led me to questions on the toast and pizza functions: Toast: I've seen some reviews of the Ninja where they say the toast doesn't cook on the bottom as well as the top - but your toast looked great. However, I suppose they were referring to those "grill marks" from the wire rack, which is hard to get around, unless you wanna flip the toast halfway through OR I suppose you can just turn each piece sideways halfway through? Don't recall my old toaster not cooking the bottom evenly but then the wires on the rack of a small toaster oven are extremely narrow, like filaments, so they don't interfere with the bottom toasting like the thicker wire on a regular wire rack do, like this one. Ninja should make just one more of those racks using those filament-like wires that would be exclusively for toasting. Hm, I wonder if the airfry basket would do the trick. ??? Pizza: (a) again with the air fryer basket, which is 13"x13", I wonder if that could be used to bake a 12" pizza more evenly or, again, will that basket simply not work for pizza?, and, if it doesn't, (b) can you use either the wire rack OR the sheet pan to cook it, or is the wire rack clearly the way to go?, and (c) I like my pizza a little more cooked on top than you do, but if I cook it longer will the bottom burn and/or is there a way to turn off the bottom burner and just leave the top burner on? Any suggestions on that are appreciated. Guilty as charged for this comment running the size of War & Peace (sorry!) but, given you said you're passionate about the new toys you get, wanted to share my journey on this with you - and maybe it'll be helpful for your other visitors who on the same path for the (almost) perfect toaster oven / convection / air fryer with a lower profile. Thanks again very much, Len!
Hey there. yes long comment, but I like it! thanks. So I'm not sure I'd use the air fryer basket for your solutions. perhaps the tray for the pizza if you like the bottom softer and the top more cooked. As for the toast, I have never had issues with one side being more or less toasted, but then I am not sure that bothers me. ;) I just want a nice crisp on the bread which I get. So just try various time and darkness settings to dial in your preference. We still use it EVERY DAY. Best purchase.
@@MrAndMrsBanks Thanks for making it through to the end of my novella ... er, comment(!), and for your very kind response. I'm actually toasting an English Muffin as I write this with the last legs of my old toaster oven, but did go ahead and order a new Ninja last night and so looking forward to perfectly toasted bread, bagels, and muffins, as well making pizza. And thanks so much for your suggestions in response to my questions, very helpful. Glad to learn that you & your wife are still very much enjoying your Ninja, and I'll take some of that good karma along with me. I wish you all the best in cooking, YouTubing, and all your upcoming adventures! (And, btw, I used to be a stage manager at WDW for fireworks, shows and events, 2006-09!)
@broddybounce "I used to be a stage manager at WDW for fireworks, shows and events, 2006-09" WHAT! So cool. would love to know more about that was like.
Awesome video Bought this for my wife and it arrived today. Came across your video as I'm doing the 20 minute initial run before putting food in it. Thank you for all the info!
Glad it was helpful! Yeah, even though it is 'years' old, the machines are the same still. I did review the newer model a year later, so hope you will check it out as well.
Excellent Video! Very well explained. Have you tried roasting root vegetables (like squash, potato, beets, onion etc)? Appreciate if you can make a video for roasting veggies. Thanks, Hari
This is definitely the best video. I was intimidated on using the air fryer. Len you have opened up my eyes to all possibilities. Thank you. Fez pizza tonight. 😁
I just received one as a birthday gift! I enjoyed this video! Love my NINJA and can not wait to test brownies out! Already had a scrumptious pizza in it!
I bought one from Costco over these mother days week-end for $150 & bought that XL PRO BIG Oven/fryer as dose everything an more for $200 about $400 out the door cant wait open the boxes & set up...Thanks
Just bought one of these and thought it was going to be smaller. Haven’t used it, yet……I’m hesitant because I hope I didn’t waste my money. It’s just my husband and myself, now. The grandkids come to visit and love their chicken nuggets and fries. But I want to use it for so much more. I will check out all your videos.
Yes. Not a small toaster oven which is why it works as an oven replacement for small meals for two like you say. I hope you find it useful like us. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thank you Len, enjoyed your video, very informative. Still on the fence, just ordered the XL Grill but I so much see the advantages of this little puppy. Hey, all the Best! 👏
It's September 2nd 2022 and I am literally closing the door on my ninja air fryer to cook my first meal. An early birthday present from my parents who are in town for a wedding. I've watched the video, now it's time to go eat.
Seeing it flipped next to a kitchenaid mixer was actually helpful as my cupboards are quite low and my mixer doesn't even fit under them so seeing as its taller than the mixer I wouldn't get use out of the flip feature.
Thank you for the wonderful video! Question: is it safe to leave the electric cord mounted in the back while cooking? I noticed it’s hot back there so I was hesitant to leave it there as stated in the brochure making it easy to flip when cool. Thank you!
I have to believe they designed it knowing the heat level. I wouldn't be worried if you have it on an open counter space. Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed it.
Glad you got your pizza to come out well. Sorry about your light not working. Does that mean you can’t turn it on at all or just the auto function isn’t working?
@@MrAndMrsBanks I am overwhelmed, you replied! Thanks. As you surmised, it is the auto function where the light is supposed to come on 30 seconds before the end of the bake time. The light will come on when the unit is cold, but even during cooking, the light will come on, then flicker, then go out. So, it must be related to the heat.
@@H.pylori :) I try to reply to every comment as my channel is still small enough to do so. I'm sorry the light is not working as supposed to. Of course a light is not needed to use for cooking, but if it is still under warranty you might try that route.
Great speaking voice !!! Quick question though, I noticed when you were putting the lasagna in you had aluminum foil placed on top. I had read in the booklet not to use foil
Thanks!!! and thanks for watching. I didn't see that in the book and wouldn't understand why. As I don't really want to scour the book right at the moment, I did do a basic google search and see many instances of foil recommended in their cook book and such. If you can provide the page or section you see it saying not to, I would be interested.
New subscriber here! My Ninja Digital Air Fryer is on it's way and I have been wondering if I was too impulsive. We are two also and glad to see this is a good fit for us. Thank you for the links too!
I researched air fryer for months…bought a small one then saw great sale and coupon for this air fry oven. Been using it for months and found this video today. It’s the very BEST. I’m looking forward to his follow ups! Thanks Len Banks
Hi, new subscriber here! I LOVED your video. It was very informative and well explained! Over the holidays I purchased the Ninja foodie 15-in-1, but haven’t use it yet. Your video inspired me to do it! The brownie tray is not available at this time :(
Oh great! thanks for joining us here. Check out the newer videos on the updated model like yours and all the special cooks I am doing like bacon, pizza, baked potato, grilled cheese and more coming! Brownie pan will return, I am sure. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xcM8xqLx6yQ.html
Thanks for this nice video. I can't wait for mine to arrive. -- and thanks for the tip on the parchment paper. I was just wresting with a roll of that stuff; the cutting mechanism never works!
Len: Fantastic review of the Ninja Foodie. Gave me the info I needed to make the decision to buy - after tons of other research left me bewildered and indecisive. BUT - saw your video review on my Smart TV and therefore no Amazon Link to see and use. So I owe you a commission. You said I could buy you a cup of coffee. Can't even find how to do that! How do I get you a commission or tip as a thank you???
That’s very kind. I stopped using the coffee link and now just use the RU-vid super thanks button. But I think you need to access that in the desktop or phone app versions.
Hi Len! I wanted to thank you for the links to the parchment squares and the brownie pan. I love the brownie pan. I just finished two batches of brownies to send to my children in NC and FL. They came out so wonderfully and the cleanup was quick and easy. I was a little disconcerted with the parchment squares though because I expected them to be in a box, not an envelope. Anyway, if you discover any other gadgets of convenience, give us a buzz.
Sending brownies? need my address. j/k, lol. So the parchment not being in a box was odd to me as well, but I placed them in the cabinet over my refrigerator and it worked for me. I hope you find a good way to make them available. Thanks for watching and coming back with feedback!
Hello Len, I came upon you by accident. I am an elderly British lady and am on the verge of buying a Ninja air fryer. I started watching a demonstration video by a young woman. First of all her cooker was badly stained and secondly her froggy voice was driving me insane. I switch off any programme or film when the person talks like a frog. Hope some of you young silly women are reading this. Your voice was very easy to listen to. Good luck and best wishes to you.
@@matildamartin2811 so glad you found me and like my voice. :). Hope I can help in your decision making. Check out the videos for the newer model and the foods I am making in it.
@@danieladorda1901 Thanks! The amazon link is: www.amazon.com/shop/lenbanks and go to the Kitchen product tab. It's not the exact same tray we have. Ours is no longer carried, but the one we link will work.
