Towards the end of the video you say, "I know I love Teriyaki." I said to myself that I wouldn't have had a clue at all lol I'm doing this next Sunday so thank you
I do... it has a wonderful flavor that goes really well with chicken... but that mahogany color really added some eye flavor...lol...i would use the roasting rack if you have it but it will be impressive either way... PLEASE let me know what you think!!! And thank you for watching!!!
Hello Sir, I was wondering if you have any tips or methods to keeping the inside of the hood clean. I wipe it regularly but there is some built up of grease that I can’t seem to get rid of. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
you prolly dont care at all but does any of you know a tool to get back into an instagram account..? I stupidly lost my password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me!
Your welcome Tiffany...i hope i helped and you cook a half a chicken... in the Ninja... on the grill... or even the oven... it is very impressive!!! Thanks for watching!!!
Excellent video, John! Love when you do comparisons between machines, and in this case, recipes too. Those chicken halves looked absolutely perfect! Loved the extra footage on cutting up the chicken, the grill cleaning, and the guest appearance from Copper. You always get a thumbs up from me!
Thank you very much!!! Always super excited to hear that!!! I hope it helps...i kinda enjoyed taking y'all out in the yard...lol... thanks for the thumbs up and as always...thanks for watching!!!
Jelly007 strikes again! I got one on the way. Always great videos showing exactly what I'm looking for to learn about cooking products I'm interested in. Thank you again.
Enjoyed your video...my sister just ordered the XL...she has more counter space...I might get the original (previous) one so on here tonight comparing. I love your presentation...the doggie and LOVE your blue backsplash!
Someday I hope to be a special guest on this show. My job will be to eat the food! I can't wait to get a Ninja Grill. I'm hoping they have a deal on Black Friday!
I posted a picture of it a couple of weeks back on my feed... not sure who all can even see that... but yes it is a great deal... and it has the new smart system just like the new larger grill... congrats!!! And thank you for watching!!!
I have a Hamilton Beach indoor grill. It has a cover, but not near air tight. When I cook chicken thighs, my house wreaks of strong cooking odors. Are the Ninjas good at containing excessive cooking odors?
Thanks Sandra... the halved chickens are a very useful skill especially when you are trying to impress guest.... thanks again and thank you for watching!!!
I love your videos and have been choosing an air fryer / grill. I got a great deal on the 6 qt Ninja Pro grill with the probe tonight at Costco 169.00! From your reviews I know I got a great deal!
I posted a picture of it a couple of weeks back on my feed... not sure who all can even see that... but yes it is a great deal... and it has the new smart system just like the new larger grill... congrats!!! And thank you for watching!!!
Love that yard, John. I imagine you must see quite a bit of deer &other wildlife come right to your back patio! Awesome! BTW, I think Ninja the Mustard Chicken Recipe on their website in the recipe section.
I have recently posted a video on my Facebook page of 3 deer about 40 or 50 yards from back door... it is a very lovely place to live Dave... easy to get used to it as many as I see but it always excites me when I see one....i haven't looked on their website but that would be a great way to print it out if needed...thanks Dave... and thank you for watching!!!
What spray cleaner do you use? We use our grill all the time and use the provided brush and in the the dish washer. We could use a better cleaner for the grate and the upper splatter guard
Another great video. Just wondering if you 've purchased a multifunction convection\toaster\ air friar oven with Rotisserie ? Or which one would you buy ? Thx
Very good question...i have a Vortex oven video that does rotisserie... and if a 4 pound chicken is readily available in your area it will do a very good job... but 5 pound chickens are far more common in my area so I do not use the oven much...(I bought it primarily for doing rotisserie chickens) I actually have the oven to my niece... but it did a 4 pound or less chicken really well... and it dubbing as a Air frying toaster oven well... i just have others I like better for my situation...i will link a video of it below...i hope this helps and thank you for watching!!! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3RZwvYuRMh8.html
Love the content! Do you happen to experience a lot of grease smell when cooking in the grill? I recently got one and the grease smell is overpowering... Not sure whether I did something wrong.
Hey John love your demonstrations. I use mustard on a lot of meats. It is not for taste because you do not taste the mustard after cooked. I think it's the turmeric in the mustard that does something (maybe tenderizes and keeps moisture) don't know. Second thought, you should look into the dish rack that sit over your sink letting your dishes dry top and bottom. I got mind from Amazon.👍🏻
Liked your video, in my opinion I would of put the teriyaki sauce half way through rather the from the get go so it does not crust like yours did. Still a great cook loved seeing the juice run from the chicken onto the plate. Great job!
The xl oven has many more uses in my opinion but I like the grill too.... it's really 2 somewhat different devices the are designed for different things... but if I had to choose one it would be the xl oven and that actually goes for any device that doesn't pressure cook etc
John Sanders just finish to watch the video you recommend. Wonder why instant pot « lid » is not in « stainless » material instead of « plastic » ? I think it will be better is the lid is not plastic Also, can you confirm is the basket and material use for the « air fried » are plastic ?
@@JohnSanders Here's why I wondered. I've been cooking in an air fryer for a couple years and absolutely love the effects and results. My Ninja Grill did not come with the wire rack :{ I cooked fish and fries using the grill plate because there was room for more on it than the grill pan. But I went back and set it on air crisp which is what got me to wondering if there would be a difference based on the cooking mode selection. My battered fish came out nice and crispy, and of course the fries were good too. I then cooked a from-frozen salmon filet. I had found in my other air fryer that 8 minutes was just right for me. In the Ninja grill I will cook it for a couple minutes less next time. BTW the grill surface is not the optimal one for the fries - as they tend to be trapped a little between the grooves. I will be pursuing that wire rack - even though at the price - I really feel like Ninja should have included it!
Depending on you family size... or even gatherings... if you need more than 4 hamburgers at a time... my opinion is yes... the other features are important but none more than that... hope this helps and thanks for watching!!!
I just put it in my sink to pre soak flip the sink cover over and it trap the dearie the i clean with fish washing liquid and the brush it came with and a sponge your drains can be cleaned every other week with vinegar and baking soda
I was watching your « Instant Pot Duo Crisp Pressure Cooker with Air Fryer » video => do you think you can do other video with this instant pot using the different option: sous vide, bake, etc? It will be nice to see
Hi John. Would you be willing to do a video showing your favorite kitchen utensils or gadgets that make your life easier when cooking at home. Perhaps you could demo a few to show how you use them? I watch your videos & see things & think hmm, what is that, how does he use it or where did he get that. Thanks!
That is a good idea...I have a few that i use quite often and I am always looking for new designs...I will give that some thought... thanks... and thanks for watching!!!
@@JohnSanders update: I loosely followed your video, but I used the XL grill. Hubby wont eat store bought sauce. I decided to play around with lower temps bc I wanted to add sauce (high sugar sauce), but was unsure when to add, mind you I did first apply a rub. Mistake in doing lower temp. Even using my own meat thermometer I think i pulled it off too soon. I did use a rub to start. Lesson: I'll follow your directions exactly and just slap on some sauce at very end. The good news: in the end the baby back ribs were a success . My hubby & father said they were phenomenonal. I used a rub recipe and sauce recipe that I found. Oh my, it's the best!
Let me verify this when I get home later today...I am almost positive mine has 3 but would feel better if I look... please remind me later this afternoon if I haven't responded...
I really like the Fiskars I use in this video and all you have to do is open them all the way up and they separate into two pieces... clean them and put them back together... really simple and these give really good leverage... hope this helps and thanks for watching!!!
I guess it is a little extreme...lol...I usually do it just outside the door and that does make it a little more convenience... but I would still get the grease off before the dishwasher but that does sound a little easier!! Thanks and thanks for watching!!!
Look delicious John I don't have a air fryer but I do have 4 sous vides and 2 big green eggs I use all the time I would love to chat with you sometime. Carl
HELP!! To anyone that reads this, thank you!! I purchased my ninja foodi smart xl grill couple days ago and already having issues! When preheating it smells like burnt plastic + sets off my smoke detector 😩 Any idea what’s going on ? Is this expected? The grill is as clean as it can be so it’s not the dirt or grease that’s causing it….
I'm not sure about that... definitely sounds like you have an issue...I would contact ninja... maybe go to "cooking with CJ" RU-vid channel and ask him...he has a lot of experience with these
@@JohnSanders John I just ordered my ninja foodi grill on qvc it cost me $219 it comes with 5 skewers and 20 recipes and I'm getting it on 5 easy payments for $46 a month. Is that a good deal.
I did a spatchcocked chicken on the regular Ninja grill, roasted. The dark meat was done but the breast was not done. Wasn’t happy with it, I returned the grill. Did not work the way it was suppose too.
Hi John. Looking at getting one of these grills. The XL is always out of stock and Pro is available. I don’t mind waiting for the XL grill. What one do you recommend? Thanks!
As far as grills... I like the smart XL... but depending on size you need... 4 burgers at a time or 6... Nothing wrong with the original size... Hope this helps and thank you for watching!!!
John that is way to much work pal. I would have poured the grease out, but definitely was in the sink with vinegar and baking soda. Works wonders John.
I do it in the sink occasionally... actually almost exactly as I did in the yard but I usually pour out the rough stuff in the woods...lol...thanks for watching!!!
Yes... they both use the same fan and heating element... but... the grill... or the thick gridle... gets really hot and gives a good surface to grill on while the fan and elements run... the air frying basket allows for anything you would do in a traditional air fryer.... within reason... not a bad design at all... but a little different than the normal air fryer you may have seen in as much as one with a basket or drawer that sits on your counter...I hope this helps and thank you for watching!!!
I do mention it and point at its location... it is just inner the meat where I pointed and you can feel the small bone you need to clip on each side... hope this helps and thanks for watching!!
In my opinion, John uses too many cooking devices, too many meat cuts and sizes, too many seasonings/rubs, too many device settings and too many thermometers. Thus, often everything is complicated and confusing to me! Keep it simple!
