the move set starts at 4:19 spinning the staff was always my favourite to use very addictive, sure you can keep it locked on if you keep using the directional buttons on the control pad
Yeah. Platinum Games stuff are the closest thing we see to a hack n' slash game like this one, with this arcade feeling to it. The others ones out there are more focused on the storytelling.
I guess they kept Nioh weapons moves and animations less exaggerated to follow the souls-like formula gameplay. Even so, they still throwed some "musou" and flashy moves in, as you can see on some bosses moves and living weapon itself. But I'm pretty sure they could have made a hack n slash souls-like game if they really wanted to. Just look at both Hayabusa ancestors fights in both games, they have straight imported moveset from NG series. I think the ideia of an open world Action RPG-esque NG game could be very cool. If done right of course.
@@lflintx excellent reply and great points you made there. I feel claws are more in line with going the hack n slash route but they could have gave us some aerial moves like flying swallow. Izuna drop was a lovely addition
I have yet to finish leveling it up with unknown ninja. Well, I could use Ryu on an actual mission instead but it would take a considerable amount of time to record footage of all the moves rather than against a static target. And it have lots of moves. Against the dummy you can have better visualization of the animations too. That's why I'm saving it for last. And there is the Kusarigama to level up and cover too, which several of the moves can only be done on actual enemies. So it will take a while, but I am working on it.
