Hey have you tried the cold brew and over ice options yet? We have the old original ninja with the over ice option but not the cold brew option. Really curious what you thought about the cold brew vs over ice - is there any difference in flavor or no? I love the over ice option. It actually brews about half the amount of water to accommodate for the ice melting. I’ve tried not brewing over ice and adding it later and it isn’t the same lol. Anyway our ninja from 2015 is still going strong- but I can tell it’s starting to wear out a bit and I haven’t always used filtered water. But it’s been great and I’ll prob always stick w/ninja. Ps looked a lot at the ninja dual brew and it seemed at least a 50% chance the k-cup portion would quit working. This is one of their newer models but doesn’t include the cold brew option just over ice. Oh in all the time we’ve had our ninja I’ve never once been tempted by the specialty brew option. If I want espresso; I want real espresso. And honestly I don’t often want espresso- I’m like you just regular coffee is great! Oh pps the bold function you may know this - the bold lets the grounds “bloom” and it really does make a better cup of coffee. I’m not into super strong coffee so I use a little less grounds and still get a smoother cup of coffee with great flavor. If you like regular foldgers try the Lavazza Gran Aroma I think you’ll like it a lot and it goes on sale on Amazon often. Anyway, it’s a lighter blend but just perfect for iced coffee. And makes a great regular cup too but I really prefer it for iced coffees.

Yes I tried all the options on that machine and I would say that my preference would be the cold brew. I feel like it just tastes better.

@@morganskitchen2415 thank you so much Morgan for getting back to me. I really appreciate it! Now I’m 1000% sold on this model and can’t wait to get it! But, I’m a bargain shopper and will wait a week or so to see if it might go on sale somewhere else before I pay full price. Ha! But if you’re sponsored by ninja and have a link, I’d def support you and buy it that way. I really did appreciate your review and feedback. I’m really bummed I just missed a great sale on this machine at Kohl’s. I’m not at all a kohl’s shopper but found the sale online. It said the sale went to the 21st well…. I was dinking around with Sephora shop that kohl’s has and was indecisive on a couple things and thought oh… no biggie I have until the 21st. Nope! Sure didn’t. Not sure if it sold out or they ended the ninja sale before the 21st. I didn’t get any kind of notification like “hey, supplies are getting low, if you want that ninja you should grab it now” kinda thing. And that’s one of the many many reasons I’m not a big Kohl’s fan 😂 Oh btw you did good to get this version. The newer version ninja with the same features plus 2 extra - the one I think that came after this one, but before the Dual or is it Duo? Im having a brain fart lol ( the one that also does kcups (just not very well) - anyway the version you have has a manual drip-stop, so no electronics to break or give out. The next Ninja has very similar body style just a little more updated, but the drip stop is automated - the first thing I thought while watching a comparison video was… that auto drip stop is not gonna last. And that’s exactly what I found in multiple reviews. I’ve read a ton of review and quite a lot of people say the automatic drip-stop quit working. For some it happened quickly & others it took a year or two but still, it makes using the machine more difficult without a drip-stop function. So if down the road, you get a newer model (hopefully your new ninja is a tank like ours and keeps on going like the energizer bunny😁. Look into the drip-stop and hopefully they will have discontinued doing the auto drip-stop and make it manual again. I do love how ninja designed their drip-stop aka pause and pour. Before my ninja, I’ve never not had coffee not drip drip if I used their pause and pour,!but with ninja coffee makers it’s fantastic and never drips and doesn’t make a mess or causing the hot plate to rust. Thanks again Morgan! ☕️ 💛🌻 ** I know I sound very positive about ninja coffee makers,!but I do not work for them, I’m not trying to sell one etc. I’m a real person and I just really like my Ninja coffee maker but it’s time to upgrade.**
