In Crystalized the overlord says he actually controlled the great devourer. Since the stone army is activated by the great devourer venom it makes the season stronger. Later seasons make the earlier seasons stronger, which I love.
Im glad parents got involved and they managed to get us more season im espacially thankful for season 3,4,5 and 6. I really like the final battle and Garmadon becoming good
@mafiagrim To me it felt like Lloyd was going through the whole "I have to fight my evil father even though I don't want to" thing again, just with a darker tone. Also him learning not trust people so easily (Harumi) is something I think he should already know after dealing with Pythor.
Nah what I like about dareth he’s chill and stuff but what makes him shine is the fact that he wants to have power like the ninja as shown in season 9 don’t you agree?
The ninja disguising as stone warriors is a plan that should've failed INSTANTLY, since they just so happen to encounter Kozu, who knows Ninjago's language, so the only way it could've worked is that it just simply didn't, and Kozu was just going along with it to see how long it would take for them to out themselves, or until they try to escape, which does fit with his character, as later in that same episode he does his dramatic fake-out defeat scream to trick them into thinking they stopped the countdown, so it wouldn't be much of a stretch for him to have been playing dumb at the camp.
I never thought of it like that. I don’t think ANY other character in the franchise, be it hero, antihero, antivillian, or villain has that subtle trait: playing dumb. Thank you for that slight minor detail!
Also i want to mention one thing. the focus of the season is "time". since the "time" thing has been used in "childs play" as in aging and In "wrong place at the wrong time" and especially the main enphasys on the Time left to stop the Final battle. i loved this.
Season 2 is a mixed bag due to filler. Sure, there are very enjoyable episodes and moments(that inner MJ from Cole when he gains his new weapon kinda reminds me of Dante and Dr. Faust from DMC5 several years before it released), but I find the three last episodes of season 2 to be very decent. Chima was originally gonna be Ninjago's replacement(despite being a reworked version of Cartoon Network's planned deal with LEGO to create sets based on Thundercats 2011, but was canceled cuz the executives did the same excuse as Green Lantern The Animated Series which they also killed, specifically "it didn't sell enough toys"), but parent outrage caused Ninjago to be revived for a third season, causing the Chima brand to be most likely short-lived, same goes to Nexo Knights, Unikitty, and Mixels(excluding Galidor, since it aired around the same time as the last couple of shows to air on Fox Kids before it became Jetix, Power Rangers Time Force, Digimon Frontier 02, and Angela fucking Anaconda, as well as the toy-line that nearly killed LEGO before they returned to the map with the goated Bionicle). Also, I remember the time the students at my class during 2nd grade telling me about how epic the season 2 finale was, including Lloyd's badassery against Overlord!Garmadon, so I joined in. Good memories, I tell ya!
Honestly, This is one of my favourite seasons. The episodic format at the start was enjoyable for the most part and the main plot at the end was really great too. Also, We get to see Zane’s creator which is an amazing thing.
This season really is great even though it does have some rough episodes especially the time travel episode i like it but find it hard to believe it didn’t affect the timeline like later in hands of time, but the garmadon and the overlords vs Lloyd fights was good and memorable and finally seeing a good Garamadon and Llyod was great.
the one thing that i was actually so angry about was the fact that if there was no megaweapon there was no adult lloyd, so if he dont remember it what is the cannon for lloyd growing up
I feel like what I'm about to say would require actual physicist expertise, but time can warp in space, so maybe that has something to do with the golden weapons existing? Like, maybe the comet they landed on would have experienced the same thing regardless if it happened at one point in time or years later? I imagine this comment has probably pissed off someone who actually understands this, but it could be a potentially valid path to look into as to why that happened. idk
So question about the mega weapon destroyed episode eh how is Lloyd still older if the mega weapon was never existed. That means anything it made in the time line didn’t either meaning Lloyd should have been turn back into a kid right?
2:10 i couldnt agree more. in season 2-6 dareth is a very political and sexist character, and i simply cannot understand who people are praising him. he does become better in the oni trilogy tho.
aw i hate how you brought up the megaweapon's non-existance now. lloyd wouldn't have aged had it not been for that potion to take out the grundle, which itself came back to life BECAUSE of the megaweapon.
To be honest, I feel like this season aged poorly. The Final Battle especially in the animation department. Also The Overlord’s defeat feels pathetic, he just eats Lloyd and dies.
it was a childrens show in 2013, that was supposed to end, thats why i leave that subject alone completly.Had the writers known this show wouldve lasted this long, they proabably wouldve changed that. However the shows writers have shown they are capable of writiing a good story as long as they are left alone, good written seasons being 4 to 8, excluding season 7, casue the writers were not left alone, and were switched, and also excluding seasons 11 to 12, and crystalized, proabably do to having 11 minute episodes, and more
Finally someone who isn’t blinded by nostalgia ninjago fans are sometimes dumb asf praising mediocre season like hands of time because of the redesigns
@@Deity_devil As someone who saw the final battle when it aired. I don’t really think it’s all that great. Also Hands of Time is my least favorite season while Sons of Garmadon is my favorite.
It does not hold up it’s a mediocre season Llyod becoming the green ninja outta nowhere is one of the biggest asspulls I’ve seen even I knew it was bs as an 7 year old the final battles is visually uninteresting
@@Deity_devil i mean how is it an asspull because he's literally a descendent of the 1st spinjitzu master and inherited the destiny to become the green ninja. Him reaching godhood status like his grandfather is appropriate enough.
