Ninjago vs. DreamZzz vs. Monkie Kid: Who Did It Better? Summer 2024 LEGO Showdown 

At this point its not even a competition, Ninjago's mech was specifically designed for older audience who can fully appreciate it. It's basically a lego Perfect Grade Gundam, I really hope for more sets like that!

Ninjago is the absolute KING OF MECHS AND DRAGONS🗿

Of all these sets I'm probably going for the dreamzzz mech. I agree with everyone that coles titan mech is way more articulated and looks awesome but like u guys said the dreams mech has a design like never before seen in lego mecha so it captivated me. Also if u wanna talk about themes lego should make....they need to either get the monster hunter license from capcom or make there own midevil dinotopia kind of theme with dinos built like the dragons they have been releasing instead of fully molded dinos

Monkie kid still brings it when it comes to buildings but it's starting to feel like it's loosing its luster. It happened to Ninjago multiple times depending on who you ask and here it is being the best theme overall this year after almost 15 years existing and bouncing back; I really do hope Monkie Kid can do the same because it's such a unique and beloved IP

I can tell that many of the set are designed for older audience not the younger audience but if I had to choose one I would pick the Cole’s titan dragon mech cause I am getting it 100%

Squirtle. Top tier content as always. I think this wave of Monkie Kid is the worst since the theme started. Even the Celestial Pogoda is overpriced when compared to the Team Hideout being the same piece count for a lower price and a much more dynamic build. I think Dreamzzz wins the summer all around even if the Castle Nocturnia is overpriced. But at least with Dreamzzz you have the guarantee of finding better prices with other retailers unlike Monkie Kid which leaves you with only the choice of buying from Lego or the aftermarket

After seeing nezhas fire mech in the reviews it looks terrible, definitely the worst lego monkie kid build

My picks would be Ninjago Cole’s Titan Mech, Monkie Kid Vehicle, and Monkie Kid Pagoda! Squirtle Squad!

This is such a great comparison! Three great LEGO original IP series with awesome sets. I didn’t even realize they all had temple sets and mech sets! It was great to hear both of your takes on each sets!

This Ninjago wave just blew me away. I'm an old Ninjago fan and would generally buy only the sets that would get me the most minifigs, but this wave has probably the best builds of the theme in YEARS Dear wallet, forgive me

Oh, I have and idea (in general): Beast: usually Dreams, they have fun creatures, tho too much reliance of the large macaroni piece, Ninjago does only really dragons and MK doesnt do them that much, but when they do its good Location: Ninjago Cities are amazing but theres just more Monkie Kid variety and some really gorgeous stuff Mech: Ninjago is Gundaming it up with the Titan Mechs Vehicles: Hmm Ninjago, cool shapes and features and the colors schemes are varied and cool, especially villains Oh I see, I respect your decisions and thoughts

It's Dreamzz bird, Ninjago castle/tower thing, Monkie Kid truck, and Ninjago mech for me. The only one I will most likely buy though is the Dreamzz bird.

Nah sit down Lego cooked with those NINJAGO sets. Its only competitor for builds is star wars. If NINJAGO ever made an 18+ set you know that set is setting lego up for life. Monkey kid can go a little haywire with their foil things.

What's really funny about you guys talking about monkie kid and ninjago being both asian inspired and tracking similar territories is that the TV show for ninjago changed how one of the villains was going to look because monkie kid's show had a villain at the time that looked too similar.

First of all, they are all excellent designed builds, except Ninjago’s team vehicle. 😂 For my personal tastes: For the winged creature, Ninjago’s source dragon wins. For the vehicle with wheels, Dreamzzz’s cat motorbike wins. For the location build, Dreamzzz’s castle nocturnia wins by a very tiny bit. For the mech build, Monkie Kid’s Nezha’s mech wins.

I would pick all of the dreamzz sets I just love the color and value of them all. Though a little iffy on the castle.

You need throw that subscribe portion like right after the first builds you were comparing. Not everyone finishes the videos and we need to get people into the Sakuga Squad! Now I need to find more legos to buy! :P

Im probably a bit bias as im a ninjago fan since 2012, but i would pick the source dragon, tournament temple city, cole's dragon titan mech and monkey kid's team truck

Castle nocturnia is a day 1 buy wish i could buy it now. Celestial pagoda is a definite buy but will wait for a deal. Tournament temple tempted but may pass not sure.

I'd go Raven, Pagoda, Cat Bike (the only one I'm likely to actually get cuz it's cheap), and Z-Blob. Sure it's cool how Cole is getting an awesome mech for the adults. But Dreamzzz clearly has the most fun mech, it even can turn into a Centaur

I don't care how good the structural design and pose-ability of Ninjago's painfully generic mechs is, it's a garbage theme that should have died a decade ago at best. It's literally just generic asian stuff plus European dragons the theme. Monkie kid is far superior.
