This Smash Ultimate Mod is a brand new custom character for Super Smash Bros Ultimate who goes by the Name Ninten from Earthbound Beginnings. Ninten is identical to Ness but they aren't related.

I like how Ninten coughs as a reference to his asthma. Would have even better tho if he used an inhaler, but this is extremely well made regardless

Well, his asthma is mostly under control. The occasional coughing could be a "remnant" reminding him that an asthma attack could still be around the corner.

I like that Ninten uses more bat moveset and his PSI attacks are more in line with his learnset in the original game (at least as long as I know, but I know all EarthBound main protagonista have mostly support PSI techniques, but Ness and Lucas use more offensive powers that belong to some of their teammates in their games) Of course Ninten has to make the challenges

I don't think Ninten used PK Beam in Mother 1, it might have been Ana who used it instead. Though, it is definitely interesting to see that he doesn't use much PSI abilities in his normal attacks, since Ness and Lucas use them a lot in their normals.

Definitely, Ninten learned barely any offensive PSI attacks but was a very good physical attacker

Earthbound series protagonists never learn much offensive skills. That was the female teammates' specialty, instead they mostly got support skills.

Ninten would’ve have been a good addition in smash ult, he’s completely balanced and really fitting to be a vanilla smash character, Its too bad that Sakurai didnt put Ninten in Smash, I can’t say I blame him because its not easy being the chairperson of Smash Bros, so anyway back the the mod review, whoever made this mod did an amazing job, I rate it a 10/10, thats exactly how balanced modded characters should be in smash

I love how Ninten doesn’t have the wide variety of magic damage attacks like Ness and Lucas do because he doesn’t learn a single offensive PSI attack. However, apparently in a Mother add he’s seen using PK Beam with Ana, hence why he has it here. Likely to assume that, much like Paula taught Ness his PK attacks he has in smash, Ana taught Ninten how to properly use PK beam for smash

The next thing modders need to figure out if they haven't already is how to edit AI for individual slots because as expected, Ninten does not know how to recover. You'll notice before time out he went in a circle thinking he was aiming PK Thunder.

Great mod! Honestly looks official. Would have been cool if Ninten made it in as an Echo fighter. Btw, I think the official term for 'Grab attack' is 'Pummel'.

Let's go! I'm so glad Ninten is here, he's one of my most wanted characters for Smash. His moveset is exactly what I would expect for a semi-clone! 1:49 Looks like Ninten's down air comes out on frame 12. For reference, Ryu/Ken's is frame 8, Olimar's is frame 9 for all Pikmin, Luigi/Falco/the Pits/Palutena's is frame 10, and Lucas's starts on frame 10 with the final hit being a meteor smash. Falco's is the best out of the fast meteor smashes. Even with those, nothing compares to how powerful Pyra and Steve's down airs are.

MY BABY!!!! MY MOST WANTED CHARACTER TO JOIN SMASH!!!! My only complains are the grabs and throws are weird, Ocarina should've been one of his taunts and 8 Melodies the Final Smash (if not, then EVE). Other than those, FLAWLESS!!!

im surprised how high quality the mod is. especially getting a real good VA performance for him on TOP of good audio quality. only thing i see that falls short is the animations for taunts, idles, and the 2 victories. they just look very placeholder. well maybe not the floating boomerang victory, but it just looks odd.

Ninten was the main character I was wanting to be added into Smash Ultimate. We really needed the main protagonist from Mother 1 to be alongside the main protagonists from Mother 2 and 3. Would be cool if Ana and Lloyd appeared during his Final Smash like Paula and Poo with Ness and Kumatora and Boney with Lucas. Also, he has Smash 64 Ness nair. Just wanted to point that out.

Atleast Ninten isn't a cheeky little bastard, using PK Fire and Magnet to heal. He has Lucas' PK Fire, and he reflects with Magnet. kinda broken that reflect hitbox is quite big

Ya quisiera que la siguiente entrega de smash Bros añadan a ninten con los mismos movimientos y diseños ya que está beamprecioso añadiendo el ataques como pk bien y que su final smash se a pk beam Omega aunque hubieran añadido a Ana y a lloid durante la animación. también su voz está preciosa además de sus taunts además me gusta cuando tose haciendo referencia a su asma, aunque me hubiera gustado que uno de sus taunts sea en el que ninten utilice un hinalador para el asma pero en todo lo demás está preciosísimo

Ness when double jumping: **flips** Ninten when double jumping: **casually doublemills** THAT ASIDE, I definitely prefer Ninten more than Ness. Only complaint about the Kirby hat is that Kirby says "PK Flash" instead of "Saimin-jutsu," but I’ll live.

I like Ness' moveset more. It has more balance between combos and stronger single attacks, but Lucas and ninten are more lopsided to combos.

Ninten Up special looks really over powered. Really make it seem he can easily recover from mere inches away from the blast zone below the stage. Maybe reduce its max height by at least 10% maybe 15% maybe that would be better.
