I STOPPED WATCHING AT 6:59 ! Not a good tutorial! They don’t show you how to pass the screen flex through the shell, they just skipped that part. How can can they leave out such an important detail ?

My switch is not turning on after lcd replacement. I don't know if it's a defective lcd or a loose/broken ribbon cable. Do the ribbon cable pins break easily when pushing it too far?
You should be able to use your old LCD screen. In the video, the robot voice mentions that it’s recommended replacing both the touchscreen digitizer and LCD screen. I’ve replaced an LCD and kept the same digitizer in the same switch once.
