I’ve been trying to get a platinum cart for some time. It’s gotten to the point where even games that look 100% real to me are suspicious lol. Good video!

two other tips for these carts. The sticker on the bottom left side is more angled to the plastic edge, while the fake one is more rounded. The second tip is the "Nintendo" logo in the back. The "o" in Nintendo on the real cart has a narrow center (like a pill shape), while the fake "o" has a normal round center.

Great video, I’ll have to post this on my Instagram so that more people can learn the differences between authentic and reproduction. I’ve been told many times from my followers/customers about being scammed thinking it was an authentic Pokémon game.

I have this specific fake, picked it up in a lot of used games from a private seller. It's sooo convinving it's a near flawless copy but it has all these tiny flaws that you point out in this video. Scary how real it looks. And the booklet paper has this great authentic feel to it aswell.

I have an EUR version and the way I check is usually the thin text on the cartrage and then the 'Nintendo seal of quality'. Basically if the text is thin on the serial number it's a fake, then if the seal of quality is blurry it's fake! Also you can manipluate the day and night system, just checked with my own game and if you can change the time and the time changes with the game, it's real. If the time does not change within game, it's fake.

I just bought a EUR version that I suspect may be a fake. It's so hard to find info on this version as most videos are on the US one. Can you help me with some comparisons?

Another way to tell is on the original the little arrow on the bottom of the front of the cartridge and the prints on the back should be glossy and smooth and on the fakes they are indented and kinda look carved in

Another way to tell if urs is a fake change the time of ur ds to night time and if stays day time in the game it's fake

Not always. After watching this vid I realized mine is probably a repro. But whenI changed the time on my DS it changes the time in the game. I remember getting Gible that way. That and it was able to connect to my authentic copy or Soulsilver. So I don't know if they were able to sneak in the real hardware or if it's just a high quality repro (probably the latter) but it's worked quite well for all the years I've owned it

Look like the spacing on the back of cartridge between the 5 and the letter P is bigger on the authentic too.

So the holographic glitter seems to be different shape even in legit versions. Maybe its region dependant, but all original EU versions I saw had round shaped glitter in the holo. But of course not spread over the leg etc.

Look at the number 5 on 005 on those games. The real one has a small slit on the top left.

Would I be able to send you a picture of my sealed copy somehow for you to check out? I still don’t know for sure if it’s a fake or not. Mine has a TM logo but the shiny shapes are circular. Mine also had a Nintendo seal around the case I’ve still never opened it

Question on Yugioh. How do you tell the difference between a North American card and Asian English card and is there a price/value difference on them ? Thinking about starting to buy into these lob and mrd cards and trying to learn everything.

If backs are Asian logo they are Asian English. If normal logo it is North American
