All this is a marketing campaign to mantain relevance before the switch 2 reveal because it won't be in this year, all of that, xenoblade, music, alarmo, the emio viral marketing, banjo, even the yooka laylee stuff, little chunks of information every time to keep eyes on nintendo until february when the reveal will come probably.
@@andres9496 probably for the februay inverstors meeting, the worst case scenario is end of march because if you think about it, xenoblade releases in march 20, so maybe they don't want to overshadow it.😅
Don't forget Nintendo is more than a Videogame company, it's an entertainment industry. This shouldn't be odd to us. I wouldn't be surprised if the next big thing were the cast reveal for the upcoming zelda movie.
That’s my speculation that we’re getting at some point a movie update. Either from the investor meeting or just a from News site we will get a update from either the second Mario movie,The live action Zelda movie or even something new like a show.
I love the Nintendo Music app! But I’m sad they don’t have any of the Xenoblade soundtracks. I hope they will add them down the road. I’m glad at least they have botw and OoT soundtracks on there.
Whats crazy is that Nintendo doesn't even need to announce the switch 2 at all, They can just port and wait for the Sony implosion and strike when the iron's hot or quite literally announce it being released in summer 2025 right before the ps5 pro releases with a notice saying your physical switch games will be BC
It kind of seems like they’re stalling on the new console. Maybe there’s something wrong with it and they keep giving us these remasters and third-party games and other things like the Clock and the app just to try and keep people happy till they work it out.
They're not "stalling" per se, they plan these things way too far ahead to deliberately put off announcements as far as possible, at most there would be day to week long delays. I do think they've rationed out these announcements to fill the void however.
nothing is wrong with the console, they just want to announce it when all the attention is on them and nothing else. this season is the worst time to announce it. if the switch 2 was revealed instead of xenoblade chsonicles x it wouldve been drowned out just a few days later by the election followed by the holiday season and all their current Switch sales would tank hard because people would be waiting for switch 2 instead of buying Switch Lite and Switch bundles. there are also still games coming out that they wanna market. Switch 2 would take off a lot the attention from Mario and Luigi Brothership which is coming out soon as well. Nintendo got reason to sabotage their holiday sales just because we are impatient. The only reason the current switch was announced in fall was because the WiiU was already dead. Thats what makes the most sense but I hope that I'm wrong cus i really wanna see it now.

me personally, i'm just here for the games. and it seems like nintendo is branching off from that, which i'm not mad at but i'd be lying if i said i was going indulge in any of this non-games side of nintendo, aside from the movies at least. so it looks like its not looking up for people in my position.
I have two thoughts with this. 1- Nintendo has not been acting strange. This is Nintendo, they are weird and unpredictable. 2- I feel the only predictions people have gotten correct are the ones that come from a leaker (and those are not predictions tbf). But all the predictions that try to extrapolate what nintendo will do based on past actions or logic have almost always been wrong. And this goes back to 1, Nintendo is unpredictable, for good or bad.
IMO the reason we get stuff wrong with Nintendo is we don't understand their thought process. Take the Switch 2. Many argued it had to be revealed in either Sept or Oct. Reasons being: Makes business sense, Nintendo has moved other presentations around. It would also match what they did with Switch's announcement, and of course, there is an investor meeting approaching. Then comes Kit and Krysta, two people that worked over there, and they are like "nah, Nintendo doesn't care about investors, they probably don't wanna announce it so near the elections". And there is the difference. They are not trying to predict stuff based on what makes sense, they are basing it on knowing the company and how they think. Last I'll say. I'll gladly be wrong about all this if Nintendo does decide to announce something before end of year.
So PH Brazil was correct about the multiple presentations in August. If I remember correctly he said this was all moved up from September. This was the first year during the Switch's lifetime that there was no September direct. I assumed these things meant September reveal, which moved to October, and now October is gone. I think Brazil was accurate to guess that the reveal was this week, and if it is next week I don't think he'd be "wrong." If we actually get nothing by the end of the investor's meeting, I'll be scratching my head for sure. The Switch will be 8 years old by the successor release, I don't understand what they would be doing if they waited even longer.
If it's true that Switch 2 was internally delayed, it makes sense why they're so scattershot lately. My theory is: They probably expected the Switch 2 to be announced already with a path for a holiday release, but now that that's not happening, they need to fill the dead air with other stuff, like Alarmo and the Museum direct. While all the games (retail and NSO) were always meant to be, they were not meant to be the spotlight, only an appetizer for Switch owners who wouldn't get a Switch 2 immediately. But again, I'm just saying stuff.
I think what it comes down to is they already revealed all their major releases for the holiday season earlier this year and they feel like they don't have enough to package into one big direct to announce right now. I'm in the camp that believes they are surely waiting until after the holidays to reveal the Switch's successor to squeeze as much as they can out of the Switch this year. We will probably get a big direct about it and whatever games they have planned for it then.
I think they were originally going to announce the Switch 2 in September but then they changed their plans. Could be all sorts of reasons why, from bad chip yields to launch game delays to the deadly flooding in Vietnam causing supply chain issues. Since September ended, the timing has never been that great for a console reveal. We had major game releases, the Alarmo release, and the whole time there's been this general election which is stealing everyone's attention. Nintendo would rather announce it at a time when they get to be the major story everyone's talking about. As much as we would love for them to do it now, there's simply no reason for them to hurry and multiple reasons to wait.
People put themselves in this state of anxiety and anticipation all year long because of rumors and voices in their own heads about the new console. And then Nintendo, just doing its own thing, makes you think it's "acting strange". Hahaha bro...
There is nothing weird about Nintendo acting this year but the content creators, media & community because of fake rumours & false hype around "Switch 2"😓
