Is anyone else feeling nostalgic for the Wii, the DS, the Wii U's launch, Wuhu Island, the Miis, Nintendo directs with Reggie and Iwata..... or is it just me? This is basically an hour of Wii/DS/Wii U/3DS era music that makes me think of that period in Nintendo's history and also puts a smile on my face.

yea same bro! I was playing Mario Kart 8 in the battles mode with my friends today. The Wuhu Island map came up and seeing the aerial shots of it before the match started brought back a ton of nostalgia for the Wii in general. Miss those days

Agreed. I've missed the music from Wii games. Whenever I hear Super Mario Galaxy music, the nostalgia and joy hits harder than Kirby hit Fecto Elfilis with a truck.

W playlist, in every sense of the term. I have an emotional attachment to the Wii U/3DS era, always going to my cousin's house to play the latest games for the Wii U, then going back home and spending countless hours on the 3DS. Truly an era of Nintendo that will never be replicated.

Almost done with highschool and I saw the comment 3 weeks ago on how this guy is 18 now. Just been searching the internet and doing things that reminded me of being a kid, looking at legos, watching old minecraft youtubers, buying wii games, and listening to the music on youtube. Childhood is always taken for granted and no matter how hard we try we can never make a child not take his for granted.

not a musician for that matter, but one reason could be that they went a different direction with their game production, and thus decided to make new music for those games that are more suitable than the music from the older games? just a theory

I love Wuhu island. I had Wii Fit since I was in kindergarten and I would always play this bicycle game that takes you around the island. I completed all of the mission levels and reached free play so I would get to explore the whole island while stepping up and down on the Wii Balance board like a funny person. regardless of how I looked, I was having the time of my life.

Listening to this really brings a tear to my eye, since I grew up with Nintendo systems from that era (DS, Wii, 3DS, Wii U). So many great memories playing all these consoles... Now it seems that the "Switch era" is the new direction od Nintendo, since Wii U and 3DS are completely dead next year. 😟😢 Some dislike that old "Iwata era", because they consider consoles from that time period to be "too gimmicky", but this is the Nintendo that I remember from my youth. So sad these days have passed... 🥺

We still use our wii and wii games to play with our guests and children that come by. I never saw something like the Wii Sports, Fit, Pary, Play Games that fun to play together up to this point. I hope the switch will get some games that continue the wonderful wii games aestetics
