@@jarde1989 Having a Halo show not take place on a Halo ring *does* make it a worse show. The story can go other places, sure, but a good Halo show would’ve made sure viewers at least *saw a Halo ring* by the end of the pilot episode.
I don't get how this spiked Switch 2 rumors. I've bought a 3rd party Joycon charger like the first year or two after the Switch was released, and it can charge 4 at a time....
This is genuinely JUST the center part of the joycon charging grip. Anyone with a joycon charging grip can create this by getting a triwing screwdriver and taking the screws off the back of their charging grip. Think imma go save some money and make one of these.
I'm not convinced the Switch 2 will be announced before Christmas. I would expect Nintendo to want to maximize sales for Holiday 2024 and THEN announce the next system after the New Year.
Then consumers would feel betrayed, and 2 months is not long enough for a hype cycle. (Leaker midori, who had access to actual leaked documents said March was a hard date, so it is releasing in March)
@@faceurhell right, because grounded, fh5, Pentiment, Hellblade 2, etc. were all garbage games. And Xbox definitely didn't win Metacritic publisher of the year in 2021... Oh wait...
@@ryuno2097they do but alot of the courts arguments was this a net positive for the gamers. Increasing the price and setting day 1 releases for the ultimate most expensive tier which you may not have known. Is predatory specially since it will incentivize more to get it for call of duty. It’s all fine and good but it goes against their arguments in court.
The HALO Series is not going to be picked up by anyone. It isn't just radioactive, it's toxic waste. Any service that picks it up will be harmed by it.
@@That1DogGuy Not really, the show was total garbage. The fans hated it cause it totally disregarded the lore and the characters while the casuals couldn't care less, cause the things that made Halo interesting weren't even in it. It's just another example of morons being put in charge of something they don't understand and attacking the fans instead of taking the criticism like an adult and learning from it. It could have *easily* been great, but they fumbled it like they do almost everything else.
The FTC isn't saying that Microsoft suddenly is flexing its market dominance. What the FTC is referencing is a series of stipulations that Microsoft said they'd hold themselves to should the merger go through, and already Microsoft has broken just about all of them. The two biggest and most obvious ones are 1) Mass layoffs or the cutting of entire studios, and 2) No raising of the price of Gamepass or severe cutting of features to existing tiers.
I’m curious how the Nintendo deal will go that they made. Will they honor that or break that deal? Their only goal was owning abk and then skirting their way around the promises after post acquisition was profits over anything else regardless but somehow no one sees it. they grandstand and distract with promises to do better in showcases then go quiet. Complete radio silence after making announcements overpromising on everything isn’t a good practice for a business. its ok to be ambitious but overpromising underdelivering just takes the wind out of the sails everytime id want to get hyped by a showcase or announcement.
Halo is almost certainly dead. The number of shows that get picked up post cancellatation lately is very slim - the days of majority getting grabbed up are long gone.
Most IP can be milked till the 🐄🐄🐄 come home. Just need to be done right. See Nintendo, they milked the same IPs for nearly fifty years now. The last of us party may not ever be a thing. ;) But surely Astro could be shoved into all sort of genres.
Im about 10-ish missions in on the simpsons port for Vita... i havent seen fps dip below 30, id say average is 45? Silky smooth gameplay and gorgeous visuals! Shout out to Zeno for this INCREDIBLE port!! 👏
I think the best way they can fit an announcement and healthy holiday sales for the Switch is to announce the next console this year along with announcing a Switch retail price drop from the holidays on.
Any tiny thing it's Switch 2 and I love the assumption that the console is releasing by March. The announcement is coming by March and I actually believe it will be revealed on or around the end of fiscal year with a Christmas release.
Exactly this, when they said “_announced_ within the fiscal year” you know they’re gonna drag it out as far as possible. Reveal in March, and then holiday season release just makes sense, I don’t think they see any reason to rush the 2 out when the switch is still huge. Besides they’ve still got games coming out all the way up to January.
Seems like I recall 3rd parties have had joycon charging cradles available for quite some time. Since my original Switch was bricked by an aftermarket dock, I have avoided using anything other than the Nintendo dock to charge anything, although I'm sure the joycons would be fine with any brand of charger.
yes, I bought a 3rd party joycon charger for like $15 and it can charge 4 at a time. I don't believe the joycons have any firmware (could be wrong), but since they wouldn't even be in use while charging (basically off) it shouldn't wreck them either.
Nintendo makes a random post for Switch accessory... The Internet - What? "NS2 Hype train" is evolving! - Congratulations! Your "NS2 Hype train" has evolved into in "NS2 Hyper Rocket"! - WE ARE BLASTING OFF AGAIN!!!!!!
Not that it helps the situation, they are still releasing this over here way too late into the life, but these accessories have existed in Japan for at least a few years. My last trip to Japan early last year I got their charging grip for the Joy-Cons since we didn't have that there, and they had an official Joy-Con charging stand too. They made it sound like it's been out for a long time when I asked, because I was surprised.
2:03 finally some good news, and no I don't see any one investing in that dumpster fire, with any luck that license will finally be able to rest in peace (although I wish their cgi and costume team all the best )
Charging accessory makes perfect sense for the NES controller’s for Switch Lite owners with the new World championships game. The only other way to charge those is with an OLED or OG V1 or V2 Switch this gives another option to charge those controllers!
The charger does make sense if the Switch 2 has a different rail system. They wouldn't be able to attach to the console for charging, so you would need this is some old games necessitate it.
I've honestly never bought a mid gen refreshes for no reason. I did buy a new 3DS but that was just because my old one broke and I just wanted another one.
I don’t mind a pro. Simply because the base models will hopefully be cheaper but also because I don’t have a ps5 currently. What does annoy me though, is how Jon will occasionally bring up next gen… as you mentioned we need games, why the hell are we talking next gen when this generation has been at its lowest with the current gen game library.
Isn’t the joy con charger likely so people will have no issues buying the NES controllers? The announcement times perfectly with them being on sale and NES Championship dropping.
If I was SONY, I’ll be announcing the PS5 Pro with a remake/remaster of Bloodborne that uses all the power of that Pro model! That would be a very cool announcement!
I have a Switch pro controller and 3 sets of joy-cons. 1 pair of joy-cons I have modded the left one to have a D-pad, which is the default pair I leave on the system. The other 2 pair of joy-cons I have are on a 3rd party charge stand that I've had for years. Works great, AFAIK. tbh, I've never removed them from the stand though, but I know they have power, so it must be working. I very rarely use even my modded joy-cons, in favor of the pro controller.
I do hope the Switch games are compatible with the new system and most of them get a "next gen" update to have better graphics and/or framerates! Just imagine a BOTW running nativelly at 60PFS on a Nintendo hardware!
Really, you're going to try and blame the developer of Simpsons Hit and Run for the reason it's not been remastered? They don't own the IP; they don't get to decide to have it remastered.
Well I mean the developer is Sierra and they've been out of business for years so you're absolutely right. The people to blame are Fox who could easily make a fortune out of this game and hell most of their other IP's if they actually put some effort into it.
@@twistedgaming9185 When you say "gave" EA the rights, do you mean they allowed them to license the game like the case with Star Wars. I swear Disney, are hopeless at times. I did forget they bought Fox though, so I appreciate the reminder.
@@Akechi_The_Phantom_Detective Disney didn't buy Fox, just 20th Century Fox, mainly to take back the movie rights to X-Men, Fantastic Four and Deadpool. And when I said Disney gave EA the game rights to The Simpsons, I was wrong: EA has the rights since 2005!
Definitely. These streaming platforms is just a modernized version of cable TV packages but more expensive. It is suspicious that Nintendo would release something like this 7 years into the Switch. I think it does makes sense that these are actually a compatibility method to use Switch accessories with the next console. At this point, Nintendo _needs_ to make an official statement about the next console. I think we can expect a PS5 Pro announcement at an event like Tokyo Game Show. It's going to be Sept 26 ~ Sept 29 so announcing it there with some games that can utilize PS5 Pro features would be a great place to do so. Maybe this holiday season I will finally get a PS5. I think we can expect to see some PS5 games getting a PS5 Pro patch.
@@pablocasas5906 I feel you, but there is not shot it comes out in March. Now, it the current Switch was SUPER limping along, then yes, but Nintendo is milking it as they should be, thus giving them more time to prepare the MASSIVE Switch 2 rollout.
I’m surprised Nintendo is making this charging stand because one of the big third party accessory makers released something similar at launch but it can charge two pairs of joy cons instead of just one
As most people pointed out, this new Joy-Con charging stand looks like it's a repurposed Joy-Con Charging Grip, they just removed the grips. Most people are speculating Nintendo may want to clear their stock, though this makes wonder if the Switch's successor will have a completely new controller and the old Joy-Cons won't be compatible
The internet is overreacting with that Switch accessory. This accessory doesn't mean it's connected to the Switch 2. It's possible it is but i doubt it. The Switch has 140 million Switchers out there so maybe Nintendo they just want to ...I don't know ...sell it to those 140 million Switchers?..Later
PS VITA2!!!! PS VITA2!!!! PS VITA2!!!! PLEASE 🙏 😊 I want to play RE 0,1,4,5 &6, ASSASSINS CREED ORIGINS, Spiderman, Miles Morales, Persona 5 Royal , Persona 3 Remake, Final Fantasy 7 remake and rebirth, Metal Gear Solid HD COLLECTIONS, and etc I want to this games on PS VITA2 I hope the PS VITA 2 Design comes same as the PS VITA 2000 model with Clear transparent shoulder buttons as well and I hope it’s round on the edges and speakers on both Joy sticks same as PS VITA 2000
Maybe Nintendo announced the controller charger because the Switch 2 will also come with similar controllers AND it will support 4 Players, so now you can charge all 4 controllers at once (2 on the Switch 2 and 2 on this charger) 🤷♂🤷♂
Gamepass shouldn't have Increased prices again so quickly and they shouldn't have taken away day one games and honestly they need to get rid of all the extra tiers just make it one and be done with it, which I agree they are degrading the product I've already decided I'm not gonna resub when it runs out sorry but I barely use the service and they increased prices just for cod and diablo which I don't care about I only care about the betheshda games and indies
Wont they use this charger for tons of NES competitions? Breaks down a barrier to people playing it and they kinda look silly charging on the Switch itself. There is more profit to be made doing it themselves for this game alone. But I do think it will come into play with Switch 2 also. Plus, if the Joy Cons for Switch 2 aren't magnetic, they will still be bigger by the sounds of it, so maybe they will charge those.
One of the richest companies lying to governments after an acquisition oh no who could have seen this coming 😂 i was saying this but no one was listening called me crazy thinking Microsoft would say one thing then do the opposite after closing the deal. Now I’m wondering how they’ll draw out their Nintendo 10 year partnership to get around that legality and other things they did prior to owning abk.
I really hope Nintendo uses different joysticks in their next system, because the ones in the joycons are so unreliable and likely to drift. I changed out the stock ones for the hall effect joysticks and haven’t had a problem since.
Wassup Jon(SW). I think that Activision Blizzard Deal is done and not sure what the FTC can do. Yh a Season 3 of the Halo TV Show could happen somewhere else but I think a Reboot is needed tho. Concord should 100% be a Free too Play Game, that is something Sony has too come too terms with the more they get into Live Service Style Games, some needs that Free too Play angle too help it out. The New Joy-Cons Charging Stand will come in handy when the Switch 2 Drops but I am hoping the Joy-Cons/Controller will work with the Back Compat Games, when Playing on the Newer System. Simpsons Hit n Run Playing on the Vita and Switch is awesome stuff 👌. I am more interested in the Software for the PS5, what will we be Playing in 2025 and 2026 plus Beyond. It would be nice too finally have the PS5 Pro Announced tho. Hopefully Splitgate 2 for the Fans will be a very good Game. Nice Poll, yh I just the Joy-Cons Attached too Switch when Charging after Handheld or after Playing Docked. Good Comment, I think it counts as Original Hardware, even if you do a Hard or Soft Mod, technically it's still Playing onset Hardware but slightly cheating lol.
Trinity on there doesn't always mean anything. We've seen nothing. Again, if there was a PS5 Pro. We'd see the damn thing. Look at the PS5 Slim. We saw the casing way before it released
My goodness, this is from the same fans that thought Sakurai was confirming Waluigi in Smash Bros. because of a purple chair that happened to be in the background of one of his recordings. Ninty fans really are the epitome of being on the spectrum.
Didn't FTC also said 1 year ago that game pass is unfair to competition. Now that they degrade that in their opinion, doesn't that oppose their own point?
Sony really had something special with the Vita. Going the proprietary route with the memory cards and a lack of support mid gen sealed its fate. The tech was there... the innovation was there... the Wow factor was there. Unfortunately, it was also there when the prices of the memory cards were announced too! I personally loved the Vita and own 85 percent of its digital catalog.
Switch is not going to sudden die so fast when the next Ninty console gets announced. It will have +5 more years, I wouldn't gets surprised if it's +8. It will still getting tons of tons indies and smaller games after when "Switch 2" gets released for ages. I'm sure of that Switch will still getting games when PS7 gets launched during 2028-2029 then. PS6 will 100% getting released durting next year, no doubt! Because of GTAVI.
Idk 5 years seems like a bit much i think Nintendo support stops within a year or two of the switch 2 release and 3rd party by 2-3 years the hardware is just too outdated
While I think the Switch is going to remain in the market, I think it'll only last 2 years more in production. Games for the system will probably last longer, even if they're just budget titles
Switch receiving years of support following the Switch 2's launch will lead to the Switch 2 selling less than the Switch. A lot of casuals will just stick to the OG switch and continue playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe instead of jumping to Switch 2 for Mario Kart 9 since it will likely be pretty much the same game.
Nintendo usually keep their last gen console around for 2-3 years before they fully discontinue it. The NES did not get discontinued until 1994, that's 3 years after the Super NES launch and the Super NES didn't get discontinued until 1998, that's 2 years after the N64 launch. The trend gets even longer as the Wii itself didn't get discontinued until 2017, that's 4 years after the Wii U launch and the same year the Nintendo Switch launch. This makes the Virtual Boy Nintendo's shortest supporting system as it had only been on the market for just one year.
I hope more sixth gen ports come to the Vita. My PSTV would be perfect for that. And a PS5 Pro is still stupid. There isn't even a real Slim with less power consumption. And most games are still crossgen aren't they?
