Something else I will mention incase I did not do a good job of making clear, we don't know the full staff behind this project yet, so there could be a lot more amazing devs working on this game. From what we do know as I talk about throughout the video is very promising though.
It's still really shocking that Nintendo realises just how important this sequel is for the franchise. Same with dread. Those 2 are vital for the franchise longevity
Nintendo hasn’t put the page up on their site for Metroid Prime 4. I wonder if that’s because Retro Studios and Nintendo don’t want to reveal that it’s multiplayer or have people talking about how it’s $70 (before they show more), or even reveal more of the description of the plot (until they’re ready).
Ok here is my Hot take for Metroid prime 4 arm cannon concept The only thing I ask for Samus arm canon to be customizable. What I mean is for her to beams can mixed with different kinds of beams so that the person can play in there unique way. (Making up names for beams) scatter beam sniper beam, rapid beam just to name a few. Not only beams perhaps the rockets as well!! How much fun that would be!! Imagine her looking upon her arm cannon before a big fight and preparing accordingly, and her and part of her arm cannon has a mini screen for you to mix it up or a save station or missile room which ever!! That would be awesome!! Ohh!!
@@JoeSmith-td4ld it must have been pretty bad to throw away 2 years of work. I also heard a rumor that the game was barely in development and all they scrapped were things in the planning stages. No idea what’s true.
Prime 4 will be huge, should be open world 🌎. It will dwarf Prime2 and 3. Would be really good if Samus returns was brought to the switch remastered. Should be shadow dropped.😮😮
I believe Nintendo has chosen Samus Aran, and Metroid Prime 4 is going to be one of a handful of Nintendo games that will find its way to the Cloud Gaming scene. My prediction would be that Super Mario Kart and Metroid Prime will be among the first games to be playable in the Cloud. This could be what (Beyond) means for Metroid Prime 4.
What I’m saying is, once you’ve completed Metroid Prime 4, the original Metroid game, not only revealed Samus identity, but also unlocked the option to replay the game without the suit to let everyone know that Samus Aran is a female protagonist, my expectations are high, but I believe that completing the game will unlock the ability to continue your adventure in Metroid Prime 4! Going above and (Beyond)
Nah, If it was suppose to be a cloud game the game would definitely have better visuals. The switch is advertised to be a handheld system that you can take anywhere and play on the tv. MP4 being a cloud based game would be counterintuitive to the switch main selling point. The game is advertised as a switch game and Nintendo isn’t known to release games that are based to the cloud.
Metroid Prime 4 will indeed be a Switch game when it’s released, I’m just thinking (Beyond) completion of the game. And how Nintendo could potentially continue Samus Arans adventure with the inclusion of a cloud based system. Completely optional content exclusive for Nintendo’s cloud gaming platform, I believe Nintendo will want to future proof and offer options for 4K gaming with higher frame rates.
Just because someone worked on a triple A scale size game, that doesn't mean MP4 is going to be Triple A as well. Keep expectations in check. I'm expecting a high end double A game.
Highly disagree. 1.They so far seem to have a very large development team from a lot of other games that are similar to the style of Metriod. 2. They RESTARTED the entire project. Which already shows that Nintendo wants this game to be as triple A quality and it being the show closer at their recent direct says a lot. 3. The Metroid series is already considered to be triple A game and with a 2025 window, there’s a pretty good chance that it will be a switch 2 release and will be part of the marketing of the switch 2. It doesn’t make any sense, for it to be a double a game. I Hate using triple/double a game as a term because it’s really subjective. But, as a game that been in development for such a long time it’s definitely isn’t cheap. It would be very dumb for Nintendo to treat MP4 as a “double A game”. Having developers from other very large games such as gow, does very well indicate Nintendo is treating the game as a triple a game. The game is being developed by retro studios which is a 1st party studio. Nintendo is treating this game as a major release so expecting it to be double a game is 100% invalid.
As long the game, visuals and music score 10/10 and is as good as the other prime masterpieces, who is going to care whether you regard it as a double A game or not?
After Halo Infinite’s downfall, this will complete that “personal number one game” of all time for me. I had high hopes for halo infinite and they failed. But this? This puts a smile on my face.
Dude I actually just recently completed GoWR and as I was playing though it I literally thought to myself "this level design and progression would fit perfectly for a Metroid Prime game."
I honestly hope it's not multiplayer. Metroid has always been about solid singleplayer experiences, and a huge multiplayer mode would take a lot of resources, and would make the next game in the series take even longer to come out. And I don't want Metroid drifting into live service territory either.
It was a minute of footage and with the Switch's hardware limitations. What exactly did you imagine? That it would look like a PS5 game? They showed off everything Metroid fans care about so you can get an idea of how faithful it is to the original trilogy, while looking much better than most Switch games.
I personally don't have that much faith that Prime 4 will sell too much better then Dread regardless of how much a flawless masterpeace it turns out to be. It'll be a miracle if even winds up selling as much as Kirby and the Forgotten Land let alone Breath of the Wild level sales.
@birdbig6852 I certainly hope so, I also think they should rerelease some of the old Metroid Mangas physically here in the US, where Metroid popular, like they did with most of old Zelda Mangas, sure Metroid has sold enough for that atleast.
I just don't get this inane number chasing philosophy. Metroid Dread is the BEST selling Metroid game in the franchise. It's not "just" as much as Dread. That's an impressive achievement. Metroid is not Mario or Zelda, it doesnt release new games every year and floods the market. Metroid is a quality over quantity series and the fanbase is smaller, but still dedicated. If Mario or Zelda are the A listers then Metroid is a B+ franchise. Nintendo's sales expecations are going accordingly.
