Well said. Those at the top such as executives are very good at business but tend to be out of touch with what the corporation does. This can lead to maximizing profit at the expense of the consumer and the other Nintendo employees you mentioned.

Funny enough, I would be fine with that if it was a newly made cartridge together with a new box and manual (no digital release, has to be physical). Some of the prices that old NES games go for are insane, especially the post 92 games (when most people jumped to the supernintendo). A few weeks ago, someone was trying to sell a copy of Mr Gimmick on Ebay for over 3 000 USD, getting a new copy for 60 bucks is insanely cheap compared to a used copy that's way over 50x the price..

The expansion prices make at least some sense because they have a profit motive but Nintendo doesn't allow you to purchase their OSTs (would make a lot of money if they did). They haven't uploaded them period, Gilva never put ads on them but they still attack him.

Since SEGA doesn’t mind most people making fan games as long as no profits are made and they even hire fans to make games for them, they’d likely have a field day with Nintendo for wrongfully striking down a fan project that SEGA is okay with.

@@PSPortalShitpostingAntiSwitch To be fair, the Playstation Portal is just a streaming device. The Steam Deck solos both the Portal and the Switch.

Wait til they increase it to $120 for Switch 2. But there won't be any new features or improvements (of course). If anything, they'll probably reset the entire classic games library back to the start and trickle them out all over again.

They've been sitting on their completed Switch 2 hardware for years now, which would have been underpowered in 2021 and will be even more so in 2026 or whenever it finally releases, All these people who are slamming their chests bragging about how Switch 2 will have the best graphics ever because of stuff like DLSS are in for a big surprise when the console is barely more powerful than the current Switch and has no DLSS or any other modern graphics techniques. But it won't matter to them, they'll suddenly change the goalposts and talk about how "graphics don't matter", "Nintendo games have sUpErIoR aRtStYLe", etc etc. Sometimes it takes an absolute failure for Nintendo to actually give half a damn and make a product worth buying.

And yeah it'll probably flop but who knows some people are excited for it, although there has been a rise in people boycotting Nintendo and modern gaming in general because of their decisions and they're going back to retro games and consoles that they can actually own(a new revolution lol). The last sentence reminds me of the main complaints of the wii era and there were shills there too but Nintendo was more pro consumer in the wii era. The graphics for gamecube, wii don't look great today but the artstyle on games were great. Nowadays with the switch the remakes look like an eyesore especially kirby's return to dreamland remake. They ruined the artstyle it's trash. Idk if i got off topic if so sorry. But i wouldn't be surprised if one the switch 2 is very underpowered and two runs horribly as well, still has drift issues with the controllers, some bad practices etc. Sorry for long reply. Edit: and the wii u even though a failure money wise it was still pro consumer I mean less pro consumer than the wii era but they were generous during the wii u and 3ds days. Giving discounts like Nintendo selects and permanently halving the price of virtual console games if you bought it on wii, virtual console in general was good and in 2013 a promotion that had retro famicom games for 30 cents each, funny directs, great games, miiverse, music in every menu, game startup music, manuals in the home menu(idk why that's gone from switch weird) etc. Sorry for rambling on lol. Forgot to mention that both iwata and reggie actually played the games that Nintendo made and even make stages or levels in warioware diy on wii, idk about ds, sent messages with swapnote and had messages on the wii u plaza.

@@DeepFriedVegan I would stick with Sony, Microsoft and Steam instead of Nintendo because Nintendo has habits of shutting down their eShop on their Nintendo-related online home consoles and online handhelds every year and that gets annoying.

I hate the fact you need a subcription to play dinosaur age games. Even thought they would still make money if it was on the eshop itself

@@m3gamix20 yeah fair enough, I've definitely played in good connections too and if you play casually it's not that much of an issue. Input delay can affect the integrity of competitive play mainly.

I mean if other companies were to do some of the things Nintendo did I would not say its good ether. The video makes SOME fair points especially about joycon drift and how Nintendo handled that. Nintendo going after fan games is also bad I would say and them striking non profit channels that host their music is also not good ether. Also the Nintendo creator program was an AWFUL choice on Nintendo's part. Yeah Nintendo is definitely deserving of some criticism.

Idk I think that's a misinterpretation of what I was trying to get across here. Nintendo has a lot of great products that I like, but what I am expected to pay for them is the issue. NSO's features are way worse than other communication services and 99% of people can easily emulate the games that come with the expansion pack for free. No one is wrong for buying what they sell, but Nintendo definitely aren't up to industry standard.
