I haven't finished it yet but wanted to say that with pokemon games have you tried pokemon violet/scarlet? I had the same problem where I thought pokemon was cute (and I have liked it for yearssss with the cards etc) but the games were a little boring as its just pressing a over and over and so so much dialogue lol. But pokemon violet and scarlet are free roam and you can just sorta do what you want! I have had violet for about a week now and ive been having so much fun with it. I am working on completing my pokedex and then slowly battling through the gyms etc!
