I absolutely love Wylde Flowers. The game has so much accessibility (from changing the day progression speed to subtitles and manual cut scene progression) and also representation and diversity in characters!!
I got the game over the holidays when a friend gave me an e-shop card. I was afraid it would be too mobile game and play badly. It really doesn't. It is just wonderful and I love all the elements of it. I just wish that after a certain time you could choose the best friend option instead of the romance option cause here I am trying to be a friend and I end up flittering and now I feel like I'm leading that poor doctor on. LOL That doctor has game ya'll.
@@BubblyAlexandra Oh good! That makes me feel better. I do like that the story actually makes you care about these characters and want them to be happy. Not many games really do that and for this to be an apple arcade game originally. Well color me impressed.
One of my favorite cozy game ever is GRIS. It is quite old but I don't think I have ever seen you review it or play it. It is outstanding, the playing environment is so beautiful and relaxing and the music are just wow. Basically you play a girl that seems lost and sad, due to that sadness all the colors are taken away from this world and the aim is to move forward, retrieve stars and bring back the colors. You should really give it a try, I am sure you'd love it!
The Last Campfire was one of the BEST games ever. I LOVED the graphics and the puzzles were fun and interesting and had such a heartthrobbing and beautiful message. So underrated!!
"wholesome but a little bit creepy" is my absolute JAM! I'm so please you spoke about oxenfree, both the art style and the writing hit such incredible vibes. Especially for the creepy yet nostalgicly wholesome lovers 😅
I just got a Switch for Christmas and I am so thankful for your recommendation videos! So far, I have Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, Mario Kart, and Disney Dreamlight Valley!
I'm so glad you mentioned Littlewood. I had so much fun playing that game, it's adorable and filled the hole leftover when I finished the main story in SDV.
I really enjoyed Littlewood too, but found that it lacked a proper ending of any sort. I just wish it had given a better ending. Unless I missed the ending somehow.
Great list! I didn't know Wylde Flowers got a free update. I'll have to go back to it again, since I really enjoyed the game at launch. Also, while a lot of people seem to enjoy Islanders, I've also heard from quite a few who, like me, found it more stressful than relaxing. Personally, "Dorfromantik" was the "Islanders" I wanted. I'm glad both games exist, though, as they clearly appeal to two very different definitions of the word "cozy."
I recently found your channel and I’m trying out a *ton* of really fun cozy games for Christmas like potion permit and cozy grove thanks to you and having a blast 😊 one of my favorite cozy games that got me into cozy gaming that I don’t see many people talk about is Chicory: A colorful tale, it’s an adorable coloring book game where you get to walk around and paint as a puppy and the story is *amazing* and hits super hard
I haven't played Chicory on the Switch, but I absolutely adored it on the PC. It ended up being one of my favourite games and I coloured in the entire map I was so reluctant to say goodbye to it.
A Short Hike is one of my favourite games of all time - it's so soothing without being boring, and the flight mechanics are soooo satisfying. Would highly recommend!!
Here's a couple of cozy games for all who never played them. Wide Ocean Big Jacket, Half Past Fate, Stray Cat Doors, Stray Cat Doors 2, Family Vacation California, Football Game, Koral, Abzu, Last Day Of June, The Little Acre, The Touryst, Blanc now Blanc isn't out yet it releases 2/14/2023. Time Loader, My Universe Interior Designer, My Universe Fashion Boutique, Bargain Hunter, Lake now Lake isn't on the Switch but it's a must for cozy game Lovers
I just recently found this gem of a game..."Elli"...highly recommend to anyone that enjoyed The Last Campfire! Also, thanks... I have a bunch of new games to add to my list!
I mentioned The Wild at Heart on one of your previous videos and I'm so glad you talked about it today! It definetely deserves more love 😍 In the physical release you even get some beautiful artbook stickers!
I have quite a few of these on my wishlist. I have Yonder. I had a very difficult time getting into this game. It is SO visually pleasing. The animals and atmosphere is just... beautiful. I just wish there was a better explanation of things? I really want The Wild at Heart & Wyle Flowers!
I am a very casual gamer and you are my absolute favorite gamer to watch. Your bubbly energy and the way you passionately talk about games is addicting!
I don’t know if anyone else has heard of this game, or if you’ve also covered it, but earlier this year I played a game called “Grow: Song of the Evertree” I believe it was made by the same company that made Yonder (but I could be wrong on that). It’s a really fun game, and it’s super interesting. I highly recommend giving it a try!
Have or have been planning to get almost all of these already, big surprise lmao I had read the Wylde Flowers update wasn't until early 2023, so was excited to see it drop last week!! Still been playing Cozy Grove daily heh I have Calico but Switch has been super buggy so I haven't played in a long while, hopefully it's running better! Hope you're having a great time with the family!!
When I played LN2 and we were escaping the school in the tunnel, I screamed so loud that my 16 year old came flying downstairs to see if I was okay 💀💀😭
thanks for reminding me to finally finish Yonder 😂 I started it a while back but got lost and confused, may have to restart it but there's so much to do that that won't even be too repetitive
Love that you mentioned The Wild at Heart and The Last Campfire here, love those. ❤️ Lots of good games for me to try out still, thanks for the video! 😄
YES!! Yonder!! Thank You, Ma'am!! It Finally gets mentioned by somebody!! I'm a brand new gamer, aged 64 - this was my first game and still love it. . No actions requiring super fast fingers, no violence... Stress free fun and adventures, gorgeous graphics, great tasks to accomplish. Can't find anything else like it. .....Except maybe now. Had to subscribe! You and your commenters have given amazing suggestions!
just a suggestion: you should try out this rhythm game on the switch! its a recent release called melatonin. the description says its about dreams and reality merging together. its on sale rn for £11.69 and im sooo glad i bought it !!
Hey, I'm really enjoying the cozy games videos, just found you and stared watching a few so far. I have probably not yet made my way through enough of them, but have you reviewed Lost Words yet? Gorgeous graphics and the story ending moved me to tears. Great cozy game.
Yay! Thanks for mentioning my game Forgotten Anne! I always love your videos so much and they have literally dictated which games I have played in 2022! 😅😂. Merry Christmas! 🎄🎅
@@Em-fz5uh haha no I wish I did!! I just recommended she played it in a previous video. It was such a beautiful game. Like playing a ghibli movie. Glad you also enjoyed it! 😊
Soo many of these games are on my wish list, but my wallet is still crying from the christmas sale so they'll have to wait a bit! If you ever do one of these vids again I'd love to hear your take on Serin Fate or Sun Haven.
A game I played recently and loved was "welcome to elk" It's a short game but really intriguing, and despite the subject matter I found it really cosy and is definitely one of my favourite games. If you haven't already, I really recommend you check it out :)
Team Calico! Got the game for the holidays and just love it to bits. I also enjoy a lot of visual novels, dating sims and music based games. Don’t ever see you chatting about any of those. For example, Kaichu is kaiju dating sim where you go on dates to destroy buildings to get to know each other and it’s narrated by news reporters. It’s so silly and lots of fun. Cute and colourful too. It’s a cross between a dating sim and a monster taming game.
@@Eeowna But you could be a giant pink monster with a heart on it chest! Lol. Sorry to hear you got dumped though, that sucks. It’s why I like dating sims, I won’t get dumped, lol.
Grow: Song of the Evertree is also one of my absolute favorite cozy games! If you haven't played it yet, please give it a go and I'm sure you'll be enchanted you did! 🥰🥰🥰
Cat Quest is a gem. I played the first one on my own. When the second one came out, I convinced my brother to play it with me and got him hooked. We had a blast playing together. We would switch between playing Diablo III and Cat Quest 2, very different vibes 😆
Just want to say that I just love your channel. I'm always getting game recommendations from you and adding more to my ever growing to be bought list. But other then that I love the way everything is formatted and how well put together everything is. They are a pleasure to watch! Happy soon to be New Year!
Love your videos and streams, thanks for keeping me updated on all things cozy! A "cozy" game I never see anyone mention is Monster Hunter Stories 2 Wings of Ruin. It's a cozy spin on the MH series they literally call them "monsties" in the game and the gameplay is very addictive. There's a demo out, maybe give it a try if it sounds like something you'd enjoy. Keep up the fantastic work.
I recently got absolutely obsessed with this game! It’s a great one to play while listening to audiobooks/watching RU-vid, and the gameplay is super addictive but not too intense. Love it!
Okay I had never seen much of Yonder and now I want it! Also glad I got Oxenfree yesterday for $3 now I know there’s a sequel coming out 😂 Agree with you on Wytchwood - absolutely loved that game & the fetch quests were often more complex than just finding stuff
I loved Yonder! It's a lot of fun. I played that and Grow Song of the Ever Tree (made by the same developer) after each other. They're such nice games.
Have you ever done a video on Astroneer? It's not specifically a Switch game, but since I saw you mention No Man's Sky, you would like this one. It's a much cosier version of No Man's Sky, where if you die, you just need to walk back to your backpack to get Al your stuff back. It's a cute SF environment, with hours of seeking resources and building machines.
@@vwood2 I think the weird fish eye effect of the world, the quick walking speed and the swinging of the lantern at night does it. I tried playing around with the settings, which arent that customizable. Doesn't help....i think it's the design
I just found the channel a few weeks ago! IT'S SUCH A GEM! I love cozy games! If you don't have Oxenfree yet it's on sale in the eShop rn! IT'S LIKE 2€!!!
I'm gonna have to check out Oxenfree as it sounds like my jam as I love a good creepy game. Plus it seems like a shorter game which is something I'm always on the look out for. If I'm honest I've noted a number of games off the list so thank you for shouting out these games
There goes all the Steam money I got for Christmas lol. Picked up 4 from this list. I already had a few others. Thanks for putting this together! I appreciate it. My husband however does not. LOL!
Hell yea, I was so happy to see the last campfire make this list! It was the first game I played when I got my switch and it’s one that I’ve considered rebuying on every platform ❤❤
Love this video! I’d absolutley love it if you did an updated play hours on switch video. There were so many new games that came out this year and I’d love to see your play time!
check out ni no kuni wrath of the white witch please i think you'd love it its one of my favorite games. i find the gameplay and story to be so much more engaging than pokemon. and the ghibli animation is so cozy.
Actually, Yonder is the one game I came across on Amazon. And I ended up buying, just in case I need some games to go back to. Since I do have different random games I’m trying to play on my Switch and PS4 here. Reason why I mention my PS4, is the trophies. Also, Islander I came across like months ago; before you kindly mention on this list. So, thank you for kindly mentioning it.
I've wanted to get Forgotton Anne for so long but for some reason it's disabled in the nintendo eshop¿? I swear I'm not making it up, you go in and there's a page for the game and all detailed but the buy button is missing! D: I'm from Spain, does this only happen here? Also, I LOVE CALICO SO MUCH!!! I'm so glad you mentioned it!!! The ending was so good and you can keep playing afterwards! I wish there was more story but it's a small indie game, can't ask too much of it.
The Wild at Heart is my favorite game ever! I love it so much and was so excited to see it here. More people need to play it. The Last Campfire is also a great game. Great list all around! And wow you just blew past 50k!
