This didn’t really solve the problem. You just removed the sd card and used the system memory (which at best could only hold like five games) you’re gonna have to get more storage eventually

I had the same problem, my games can't be downloaded to my sd card so i have to take it out and download it on the internal storage but i can then transfer it to my sd card. Idk why it can't be download straight to my sd card but atleast i can still use it

Ok the fix is simple you need a 2nd sd card send the game saves to the new sd card and format your old one and redownload I have the same 128gig sd card as the man in this video and i got it working again

Or if this doesn't work for anyone, there might be another download on your switch. I recommend only doing one download at a time or the other downloads won't work. Hope this helps, it worked for me so I recommend you give it a go.

I keep getting the same error for new horizons I downloaded it online and it had both an error 2005-0003 and an error 2002-4742

I found a fix that worked for me: First power off the switch then take the sd card out wait five seconds then reinsert the sd card turn the switch back on go to your home page with games on the switch wait five seconds and then restart the system and the it should work Like if it worked ☺️

Hello All, I was having this issue with downloading games and I was able to resolve it using these articles and steps : en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/220 -This article directs you to a tool Nintendo recommends using to format your SD card to complying with the SD File System Specification created by the SD Association (SDA). Here is the direct site for the tool : www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/ After downloading this tool plug in your microsd card into your pc or mac ; Then run the program "SD Card Formatter" and check Overwrite format and name your SD card if you like and then press the format button. **All save data for your switch is saved on your switch!** Formatting the sd card only means you have to download any games saved on it again. As seen in this video games will have a cloud icon above them and you can just press download and it will automatically download them to your SD card as well instead of the switch on-board memory. I am now able to download any digital game I buy without having to eject my SD card everytime. Thumbs up so people can see. Enjoy.

I think the SD card is corrupted. Try putting it in a computer and format it. Sometimes cheap SD cards don't work. Also I think they have a list of compatible SD cards online.

Why didn't I look at this sooner? I could of had it fixed just like that but I had the big brain idea of not using my switch for 3 1/2 years. It probably did break of inactivity, oh wait it is like a 3DS It doesn't hecking die lol

I went onto Mario Odyssey last week and it said there was corrupted data and I did the check and it said there was corrupted data on the micro sd card. It said redownloading will resolve the issue and recover data. So do I eject the SD Card and re-install on the system memory and will that recover the data? Thanks in advance! :)

My error was because of a fake samsung micro sd card, it said it had 256 gb but it probably had a way lower amount. I just got another one

So basically I'm going to have to eject my SD card every single time I want to update or buy anything. Oh joy. Nintendo is just the gift that keeps on giving. It's worked fine for months before this.

What file system does the micro sd card have to be FAT32? I wonder if Nintendo micro sd cards are FAT32 file system. I think exFAT file system is default and you need software to format FAT32

And if you do t have enough default storage I found how to solve it!!! So you hold he turn off button u touch advanced then turn off, then when it's off hold the 2 volume buttons and tap the on button while holding them for a while a menu will come up click the option in the middle that says you wont lose any data then u re-do the starting screens and then when u finish it will show a screen of like do you want to delete micro sd card data not including bla bla bla bla anyways you press the home button again and you install ur games again and u havent lost any save data, screen shots and more good luck, this issue made me upset and i'm happy to help :D

This is so weird cause the same thing is happening to mine when I was trying to download AOT and I looked to where the card is supposed to be and there wasn’t one 💀, probably because I got the switch like 3 years ago and haven’t played it for a long time so I didn’t need one. It's been 4 years, I had the same issue. Its ridiculous how the SD cards not compatible. It seems like Nintendo did this on purpose. I even bought a 1024GB SD for my games.

I had the same problem and fixed it in another way. It seems that the problem came from the micro card, it was Sandisk, 128Gb. I switched it to a Samsung one and it downloaded the game without crashing at the end

Yeah I just put in a micro sd card 512 gbs in my Nintendo switch gave me that problem too. I moved all my gave on to my 512 sd card from my 64 gb card. Now my games aren't working and it keeps telling me to try again later or check the corrupted data or so... plus this is a brand new sd card I got from yesterday and now idk what to do anyone have this issue with there sd cards and games?

Can you please help me? I updated my fortnite in my switch and we don't have a wifi so here in the Philippines it took me 500 pesos 10$ just to update the game. But the problem is it didn't update because it said the game was corrupted and so I had to start back again but not just the update, it deleted the whole game cos the remaining space in my fortnite is 135 mb, damn. I worked hard for that money.
