Did you know Nintendo has a Google web browser? In this video I'll go through the steps on how to set up your Nintendo Switch to get online using Google's web browser. Read Instructions here - askabouttech.c...
I've owned a Switch since 2017, and just now learned of this, all by this video randomly crossing my feed, now in 2023. Thank you. I've always wondered why the Switch wasn't, right out of the box, able to do this in the first place, made to do it much easier, and even promoted as it could do so, given that even the Wii U, if I remember correctly, could even go online. Never made any sense to me, whatsoever.
Yes it's 100% possible and a great solution to the patches from Nintendo that disallow us to basically sideload stuff like different OS's and apps. I'd love to play beamng on my switch, sounds fun :)
@@ughcaiko no I have a connection saved normal, then I have a second one saved that I goofed the dns to this. So when I’m in the menu selecting a network I can just pick the one that opens the browser so I don’t have to type this is ever again
Really Nintendo Should Add A Network Named "Browser" With The SwitchBru DNS Icon Before the name and the network should have the same DNS allowed to access the browser.
No the switch is capable of way more They should ask Google, Microsoft or opera to port Thair browser to the switch The switch is capable of a full browseing experience just like a phone or any other console
This is forever ago but if anyone sees this I neeeeeed answerrrrs. I have accessed the browser time and time again but today I couldn't connect to the browser. It says a communication error was found. And no matter how many times I clear out the settings, and reset the dns, It still says the same thing
I tried to do it but when it's loading the first page to continue to google it doesn't load the page. Instead, it just automatically retries to connect to the wifi. What's the problem?
Will it mess up my family’s Wi-Fi network at all if I try this because I really need to know before I can try it out on my Nintendo switch please and thank you
Thank you but you should let people aware oopsies if it doesn't work correctly like when I did it it works but it wasn't connected to my internet and how I changed it back was cleared settings I don't know if you ever experienced that trouble but I am just warning you if that does happen not to be scared and just clear settings and connect back to your internet and everything would be okay
@@ladyyy_rosa I know but at the moment of time that's how I was communicating with one of my friends by doing the little title for your switch thing and I got scared when it said was not connecting to the internet
It's kinda wild that there's no browser by default. I'm not surprised though, Nintendo is a very anti-consumer company. It's f'd that I can do more with a Fire tablet than i can with a Switch... I won't be buying one. They peaked with the Gamecube.
so will this work after leaving the manual DNS active and leaving the browser? Imagine i have finished browsing and closed the web, and if i go to settings and basically click on "connect to network" will this work? if yes it will save time, if no then unfortunately
