With the price of everything, Nintendo Switch Online is one of the best value memberships that you can get! I'm just patiently waiting for a remastered versions of Ocarina of Time!
When you have seven games (maybe more but probably less) then you spent a LOT longer playing and developing reflexes on one specific game. And you lost those skills in your twenties 😂.
Getting my 5 year old son a Switch oled for Christmas and was looking for an honest review of Nintendo online and the first thing I hear is sponsored by Nintendo of Canada.
what if I unsubscribe, does that means I can't retrieve the save files on my cloud save. also what if I don't re-subscribe for years, will my save files still exist when I re-subscribe?
I thought I'd be much more excited about the retro games than I actually ended up being. I like games like TMNT Shredder's Revenge or Streets of Rage 4 - games that tap into nostalgia, but with current quality of life changes and updates that make them more playable. It's a dope feature though.
Great video! Questions I want the game just for the Nintendo games. Can I download Mario bros so I can play off Wi-Fi? Are the OG games not available on cartridge? Thank you!
Prices have changed for the better since this video. Individual is $19.99 for the standard and $49.99 for thr expansion and $79.99 for the family. I am considering it just for all of the older games. Just started playing my switch again since I now have it on my desk and hooked to my gaming monitor. It is not as good as Gamepass, but I do see the value as to buy all of these games and the system's to run them would be thousands!
Its definitely a cheaper alternative, but i cant help but feel like im left with no actual ownership when you could buy games once on the wii/U/3ds and keep them for as long as the system survives VS no subscription no emulated games. Edit: definitely an animal crossing player, its nice and chill but even that game was missing a lot when it launched 😬. Also I love donkey kong to bits, classic games had fantastic soundtracks.
@@meatbasedvegan4859 it's funny the switch has better graphics, super fun games and plays on TV or on the go but I still find myself having more fun with the 3DS. It's probably nostalgia or maybe the 3DS was just better 🤷♂️
@@siredaruler6016 The games I grew up with are all on the 3ds. Switch is amazing for the new games like Zelda and Mario but those old school games and all the pokemon games are what keep me playing 3ds.
@@meatbasedvegan4859 Agreed 💯 and when you combine the fact it's compatible with the DS games there's a ton of fun to be had. Especially if you get a multi cart loaded with every game you can think of 😂
I've got an old 2ds modded, but thinking about a switch lite, even though the games are too expensive. Is the Switch worth having for retro official emulators by Nintendo on their store, like the virtual console ds titles?? I know the Lite is not good for hacking, but even so, what's the scene looking like? Will the switch lite be moddable like my ds in the near futiure wthout mod chips? Cheers.
What are you smoking? The best membership?? Don't make me laugh. I'm not paying $20 extra after spending $60 on a game just to play it online.... For a year! A ridiculous price. Look at what Steam does, do you have to pay to play any game online? No! Do they have voice chat and stuff? Yes! Playing online should never be charged a single penny. The people who keep supporting this membership is what makes the other suffering because Nintendo will never change if you keep giving them your hard earned money!
Put it this way, the price you pay for the game is for the developers. Th price you pay for Online, is for the servers to keep everything running. Steam doesn't charge you directly, because they run ads for games, etc...
After buying online membership we also need to buy games?? I m unable to understand it because i m new user of Nintendo switch and i bought recently online membership but when i go to the game it says proceed to buy ???? I mean is there any mistake i m making
games being exclusive within that subscription service that users don't own should be considered a part of service which is not protected by the copyright law.
As an honest Nintendo fan of my own, I'm perfectly all right with the online membership just the way it is. All you have to do is pay 20 bucks every 12 months and that's about it. Also both Doug Bowser and Shuntaro Furukawa Never made the decision to make the paid online membership, It was planned long before they even became presidents which means Reggie himself was affiliated with that decision and while Iwata was hospitalized during the Wii u's horrible marketing and failure. I still love both of those presidents and I love all of the CEOs just the way they are but don't just pretend everything was beautiful and pretty when both of them were still around. By the end of the day, I'm all right with the online membership just the way it is.
Hello question maybe u said in video and I missed it but for basic membership I can only play one of the selections rather it be sega ,or Nintendo,Super Nintendo games ? Jw and with expansion pack I can play whatever games I want I’m confused on how that membership works thx
I recently bought a switch on FB marketplace for my kids. I thought I’d re-buy some old NES and SNES games on there for them as well as myself, all to find out that it’s all subscription based! 😳 Big NOPE on that. I don’t think most people play enough different games to justify a monthly cost. I know we usually find a game or 2 that we like and play it for a while. I’ve bought many different “digital copies” of old games in the past and probably would’ve continued, but I guess Nintendo would prefer that us “old school” gamers just emulate them for free. So… I guess… thanks, Nintendo?! 🤷🏻♂️ “Games as a service” just isn’t for me.
Nope game pass is the best gaming membership , 60$ game that I don’t even have to pay for excellent , I did sign. Up for this one too disappointed that original Nintendo game aren not full screen but still cool to play
Metroid prime, majoras mask and zelda wind waker i think it was called and sonic the hedgehog dx sonic colors to me were the best nintendo games growing up period. Does anyone know if any of these are in the plans??
Paying a monthly subscription for retro games is pretty distasteful consider anyone with a smart phone right now can just download an emulator and play for free
#1 The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past #2 The Legend Of Zelda: Ocorina Of Time #3 The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword #4 The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild #5 The Legend Of Zelda: Majoras Mask
I like Nintendo's online service. It is the ULTIMATE way to experience retro games but I think over time they have just utterly lacked in content. I get 2-3 games a month with Playstation on top of hundreds of games readily available and Nintendo isnt competing on that level one bit and it only costs 50% more than Nintendo's version. I still pay for it but damn it I want more than a handful of games for the 4 virtual consoles. Its been HOW MANY YEARS?????????????
hey i'm a new user on nintendo so what I'm getting is you don't get monthly games on Nintendo like you do with playsation? so with the subscription you only get access to old Nintendo classics?
let me see here.... it has a mario game subititle theme the game itself will play a varity" of games animal crossing and 'simplistic is there if you wanted to speed run mario like you know the people who made it we ...
