Captain Karnage I would argue Star Fox, Mario & Luigi Paper Jam (I know Paper Mario has a lot to prove to us after Sticker Star, but M&L doesn't) Xenoblade Chronicles X and SMT x FE (I know, I know, but I like how cinematic it looks and the reinvention of each FE character is really cool to me) as being very good as well. Nintendo's E3 presentation wasn't *bad*, it just wasn't really E3 calibur... and I will finally admit that MP:FF was a dick move now that I'm over my indignation at all the haters.

***** Because they want to show the gameplay and they do only have a small block of time to dedicate for each game. Besides, you can always go back and rewatch and pause to get the dialogue (unless they skipped the cutscene).

Yes the two games are completely different but still they shouldn't act like they're giving us a choice when your locked into your decision depending on which game you buy.

Captain Karnage It is already confirmed all versions are the same. The only difference is, some versions are in different languages. Unless you are new to Emblem, this is always done.

Lon'Qu Well... censorship was in FE:A, for example in dialogue or in relationship (Lucina & Owain were considered partners, not as husband & wife, due to the fact that they're cousins) or in some scenes (the infamous Tharja censor)

CometX-ing FE games are typically very text heavy so that might be why.

CometX-ing Remember thier basically localizing 2 very different versions of the same game, it probably takes longer than you expect it to.

CometX-ing Yep. Not only does every line of text need to be directly translated from Japanese to English, but a whole team of English writers needs to essentially re-write the dialogue so that it makes sense and is entertaining in English. It's the difference between feeding Japanese text through Google translate and asking what a Japanese sentence means from someone who is fluent in Japanese and English. Also, the localization team needs to make sure that the text fits within the dialogue boxes (Japanese writing is typically more condensed than English writing -- on average, each character in Japanese is about 1.5-2 words in English). On top of that, all the voiced dialogue -- including the grunts and groans -- needs to be translated, a voice actor/actress needs to be selected, and the dialogue must be re-recorded in the localized language (which can take a good chunk of time to get the best take). And finally, any localized edits need to be deliberated and put in. For example, the curtain covering Tharja in the swimsuit shot in the Summer Scramble in the North American version, and the "Tharja's jiggly bits" dialogue being changed in the European version.

Calvin Dang Because you get what you pay for. It's also not buying the game twice, it's not even half to buy the other part, it's 15$ when they could have easily charged 20$ for the other path. Yeah, 10$ would have been great, but they went with the middle ground and charged a reasonable 15$. Ill say it again, you get what you pay for. 15$ to experience the other complete side of the game, which has been emphasized so many times be Nintendo that each side is as big as a normal fire emblem game, is completely reasonable. I'm fine with people saying ''Wow that might be a little too much, but im going to get it anyway because it's going to be a great game that im going to thoroughly enjoy''. It's just people who outright refuse to buy this game because they think its too expensive for what it is, or they don't like some small features about it.

Calvin Dang Well since pretty much every new released ds game is 40 dollars, it's going to be 40$ for the game. Even converting the price for it in japan it rounds up to 40 US dollars. With the other routes, those from Japanese Yen round to 15$, so it's going to be standard 40$ for the game, and 15$ for the 2nd route. Just for reference: Game costs 4700 Yen in Japan, which in US currency is around 38.0310$ Each path costs 2000 Yen, which when converted is around 16.1834$ And yes it has been confirmed by Nintendo and other sources that it is going to be 40$+15$ for both the game and the other route. Well, like everyone else you are entitled to your opinion, and as long as you don't get on people for not liking how this game is being sold, then all is good.

Calvin Dang do also keep in mind that each game supposedly has enough content to warrant a separate version. so you're getting your money's worth if you just buy 1 game. if you buy both ($40+$15), you're getting more than your money's worth since you're effectively getting 2 games (or 1.75) worth of content for less than 1.5x the cost. if they had both routes within 1 game at just $40, you're getting way too much for your money's worth

Heropon Ike Localization is far from finished, especially if you saw the My Castle footage. I imagine they have a fair bit done but probably aren't even close. Heck, they didn't even have the English voices in this stream, so they're not too far in.

Let me remind you that other games, even ones that came out waaaaaaaay before this, allowed MULTIPLE major choices in game, that changed gameplay in game, within a single disc. But hey, most of those game s didn't come from Nintendo, so I guess my logic is invalid.
