Nintendo of Canada built a Winged Pikmin for Red Bull's Flugtag event in Ottawa-Gatineau, Canada to celebrate the launch of Pikmin 3 for Wii U. Here is a recap video the Nintendo team's performance and "flight." Pikmin 3 is available in stores and the Nintendo eShop now.

Or just get advertising on other things as well. Highway billboards, posters on trains/buses, etc. It really does seem like Nintendo seems more focused on mainstream means of advertising, which is increasingly becoming a problem. Because more and more people are just using the internet for news, weather, and entertainment.

Reminds me of a Dutch show called "Ter land, ter zee en in de lucht". It roughly translates to "On land, at sea and in the sky" and is a show where people built their own (carnival-esque) vehicles and try to get from point A to point B in themed courses. Really nice to see this. :)

I love the huge winged Pikmin “flying” machine, it’s vary cool. Too bad it failed because if it was built right (like a water plane or whatever there called) it could have been a success. The concept was genius, but the execution could have been better.
