To be clear about the alerts at the intersections, they were not interventions but alerts telling me to control the steering wheel. They shouldn't have been happening imo, but the system still recovered itself and kept driving after alert and auto-braking.

Awesome, I am excited to see the NIO Full Self Driving (NOP+) with the Western perspective, China is so far advanced compared to America! TESLA is great this is X10!!!

Chinese companies are definitely far ahead of most western car companies but they are not much better than Tesla. Infact the systems ae probably not up to par with fsd in the US. In China teslas FSD isn't fully activated so it's behind in China but if they get permission to use it in China it would be interesting to see how it compares.

Tesla needs a lot of training data to complete autonomous driving in a certain area. When there is insufficient training data in some places, its performance will be much worse than what you see on RU-vid.

It seems to mimic the driving habits of typical Chinese aggressive drivers more realistically. Overall not bad at all.

Im wondering if the interventions have anything to do with the zebra crossings. For the city road it would be nice to see the car perform more yurn maneuvers.

It's not an intervention. Its telling him to hold the wheel. Just resting your hand like that usually isn't enough for Nio you need to grip it.

The poor guy who lent you his account isn't going to be in good standing anymore with so many reminders to hold the wheel during such a short period of driving 😂. With nio you really need to hold the wheel, not just rest your hand on it.

@@Eric_Garrison Nope, I haven't experienced it doing this. I think its just not detecting your hand on the wheel and because it considers the junction a high risk area its giving a warning. I found I have to actually hold the wheel with at least one hand, not just touch it.
