@@SquareOneGames1 i had a question, why didnt you put on any of the items that were better than the initial ones? Just curious cos im just following whatever youre doing haha. BRILLIANT first episode.
@@trophyhunt4545 For this episode we needed to use the items to get more Divine Rice from the Kodama and later we'll use items to level weapons and armor at the blacksmith. Also the weapons and armor that drop from enemies are completely random which might give me a stronger character than you should I equip them. Another thing is switching out weapons and armor will bloat the run and decrease efficiency. We are always looking to get Platinum Trophies as fast as possible and being in menus eats up a lot of time. Let me know if you have any other questions and I'm glad you're enjoying the run so far. :)
@@rinshaolin94 Roughly 700 hours over a 3-4 period of time. I had to Platinum the game 7 times to get this run ready. 8 Platinum Trophies if you count the recording. :)

I'm sorry if I missed you explaining it in the beginning but is there a reason to play offline? I platinum hunt while in the party with friends so disconnecting isn't exactly optimal, is it necessary or simply optional?
I always run guides offline simply to avoid confusion down the road when games no longer offer online play. If viewers see me playing online they might they have to play online to get the Platinum so it just future proofs my guides. :)

Hello mates!:) already finished 2 souls games with your guide. but i need to ask how you guys are following these guides? i usually watching 20-50 seconds of the vid. and then play the amount i watched. do you guys can suggest mor effective or either more funny ways to enjoy these completely underrated platiunum guides?:)
Depends how complicated the game is. My usual setup is having a laptop play the video while I play along side it, I can pause and rewind when needed. I usually have two games on the go at the same time as well, one game following these guides and another I’m free roaming.
Hey, Great B! I apologize for not responding to your comment sooner but I never received a notification from RU-vid letting me know you left a message. I try to record my guides at a slow but steady pace. If you notice I speak for a few minutes then let the gameplay reinforce my commentary. I also make a brief pause when each step of the guide is complete only to repeat the pattern again throughout the entire guide. I do this because my guides are setup to be watched in small chunks so you're actually watching the guides correctly by checking out 20-50 seconds of the video before playing. With that said, you could always watch the video at .75 or even .50 speed which will slow the video down a bit giving you time to follow the guide and play at the same time. You can also speed up the footage to 1.50 or even 2.0 in order to watch chunks of the video faster. Remember the goal is to get your platinum trophy as fast as possible so the quicker you can absorb what's happening in the video the quicker your Platinum Run will be. Here's an example of what I mean... Let's say you watch a video for 1 minute at regular speed and then play for 1 minute and you repeat this process until the videos ends. If my video was 30 minutes long then your total session time would equal 1 hour since you watched 30 minutes and played 30 minutes. However, if you slowed down the footage and/or played in real time you could easily shave 15-20 minutes off your session. I hope this helps. :)

Glad to hear that you are doing Nioh 2 xonevant this game might be a harder platinum than sekiro, hope you will be able to get a PS5 in 2022. Have you heard that the news about the PS5 shortage it's not fun
Sekiro is a way harder game, nioh gets easier the more you progress through the story. Nioh is all about making a build, whereas sekiro is all about skill and rhythm.
Mmm... it shouldn't take an hour to get the gunpowder bombs. I played through this game 8 times and it never took me more than a few restarts to get them. Have you picked up all the kodama up to this point in the run? First of all let me clarify what we're doing at this point in the run. Like I said at 42:24, anytime we use any item classified as a ninja weapon we increase our proficiency as a ninja which gives up points we can learn abelites with. Since the goal is to earn 1 Ninjutsu Point we are free to use any ninja weapon to make that happen. The gunpowder bomb builds up proficiency much faster than other ninja weapons but any of them will do. If I were you I'd just purchase shurikens or any other weapon and farm the point we need. You might need to farm nearby enemies for more equipment since it might cost more Divine Rice to buy enough ninja weapons to farm the point. Once you learn the Gunpowder Bomb ability you'll be back in step with the guide. The next time you run into an issue like this let me know sooner so I can help save you time. This is especially true for Boss fights. I will leave a note in my pinned comment addressing this issue for other players. I was not aware that it could take up to an hour to get the bombs or else I would've elaborated more on the topic in my commentary. I guess that just goes to show how skewed RNG can be in games like this. I'm sorry this happened to you, my friend. Let me know if you have other questions, ok! :)
@@SquareOneGames1 I figured out my problem when you said to disconnect from the internet I chose not too because I wanted to be in a psn party while playing and once I disconnected the internet I got it after 5 attempts, thanks for the help
@@rinshaolin94 Patrons submit games into the tournament so we won't know until that time comes. Since Demon's Souls and Elden Ring are already locked in it'll be a few months before we have another tournament. This will give you some time to save if you want to become a Patron. If you pledge by the month it's about $12/year but I offer a 16% discount for yearly pledges. So, for roughly $10 a year, you can vote in all the tournaments. Any support is appreciated. :)
I'd still like to bring over Metro Exodus and a few other games but we're getting there. I can only port games over to this channel between coverage while Patrons vote in the tournament so that' doesn't leave me a lot of time. I've already deleted over 500 videos from the old channel though so we're making progress. :)
Hey Square! How are you? I'm not able to get Gunpowder Bombs. I'm on the PS5 version of Nioh 2.... Is Kodama Bazzaar patched now? I tried reloading my load save and closing application, and that didn't work.
I'm good. I hope you're doing well. As far as I'm aware the bazaar has not been patched. If you search the comments you'll see that other players eventually got them after farming a little longer than expected. One player was still playing online and he got them within 5 tries of going offline so check that first. Keep farming and you should get them.
You can still setup safety saves using online cloud storage, which is available through your PSN account. If you don't have a PSN account I strongly urge you get one or at least invest in a USB device if you're playing on PS4. Trust me, safety saves will save you so much time/struggle for this trophy hunt. Can you complete this trophy hunt without safety saves. Yes, but it's going to be a long road with many turns I can't account for in my guide.
I tried this game because it was free on PS Plus. Unfortunately the Gozumi fight does not work as in your video. Most of the time he walks away after the first throw. Some other times he comes down but does not start to run, but kills me with his sword (?). Also saw the second fight on your video and it looks so lame, hitting one time and running away (x 20). It seems like these bosses are much too strong for the level we have in the beginning. I really wanted to like the game as it is graphically beautiful, but this seems more like a Souls game and I really don't like those. Why make beautiful games like Bloodborne & Elden Ring, where most people can't even pass the first boss? I prefer games like Ghost of Tsushima, which I have the platinum on. For this game that will never happen. Not your fault ofcourse. Thx for guide.
The bosses in this game can kill us quick regardless of how leveled we are. It's just the nature of this type of game. We actually destroy 95% of the bosses simply by spamming Ninjutsu abilities but the first couple of bosses are a bit tougher since we haven't had enough time to acquire the proper abilities. If you ever decide to come back to this game my guide will still be here for you to follow. :)
well the game was off 50% so what was i supposed to do XD question about the blessings: how long do they last? is it time based or is it till you pray again or how exactly does that work? also i have noticed that we got the exact same offers at the bazaar after each restart. was that coincidence or is it deterministic RNG?
Kodama Blessing lasts forever until you manually switch it or move into another region. Each region has it's own set of kodama and blessing. Based on my research the Bazaar is given a random seed at the beginning of the game and that determines which items appear. The same thing goes for the Mimic Chest.
@@rinshaolin94 I rarely cover DLC's unless Patrons specifically ask for it. Now we actually have a voting process set up that decides whether or not DLC's are covered. In most cases, DLC content adds tons of hours into guides that are already quite lengthy so we have to be careful which games get the additional coverage. Remember, I'm only one person doing everything. :)

I have other positions that need to be filled but this would get us heading in the right direction. More importantly, I need to pay these people for their time. Currently, there's about $550 coming through each month in financial support from the community but we'd need to hit over $5K before I would even attempt to hire help. As far as I know, it does. I haven't heard anyone say otherwise. Although one viewer (Fawwan - read his comment below) did say that the Remastered Version wasn't generating random items in the Bazaar after loading saves. Fawwan later said the issue can be fixed simply by going online then offline. Other than that, I think everything else is in working order. :)
would you ever go and do nioh 1 i’m kinda upset at myself i started it with another guide and i just ended up disliking the guide so much.. so i gave up on it. now it’s like a 3% sitting there on my psn profile when i like to be a 100% hunter

This game still has it's challenging moments, especially with a few boss fights near the end of the run. With that said, it's easier than Sekiro in my opinion.
@@redravix That's got to be the problem. I ran the game on original. They may have patched the reroll out in the complete edition. Have you googled it?
We play offline because one day the servers will get shut down making any free items irrelevant. Playing online also litters the areas with a bunch of graves which is very distracting. I want players to focus on what's happening in the guide to limit mistakes. :)
Mmm... I didn't know that playing the remastered version would cause this issue. Are you positive that you can't refresh the Bazaar? It's possible to exit the game and still get the same items multiple times since the items in the bazaar are random. How many times did you try and reset the bazaar?
@@fawwan4579 Well, I'm sorry it didn't work out for you. If you feel comfortable with combat then it's possible to press on since you'll be able to eventually get the items from other bazaars. You could also start a new game to see if the bazaar refreshes. I know that would be a pain but once you have a few key items from the bazaar you'll be setup to complete the run. I'll have to make a note of this issue in my pinned comment to alert other players.
I prepare all my guides offline, if possible, to mimic gameplay after the servers eventually get shut down. I haven't tested the guide while playing online so I have no idea how that will effect the trophy hunt. If you decide to play online you'll do so at your own risk. I highly encourage you play offline but you are free to do as you wish. :)
@@rinshaolin94 You could run with 4 but the better play is to farm enough XP to push Dexterity to 10. The higher your dexterity stat the more capacity you'll have plus you'll deal more damage.
