This game has so many systems that you don't realize at first but it makes playing new game + (Dream of the Strong) that much more exciting. It's almost like the first playthrough is just for learning the basics and lore before graduating to the next stage of the game where you collect divine items and evolve them to greater levels, customizing them to be to your liking.
This helped a lot, thanks, makes a lot more sense now, I am level 260 and I've just been using whatever drops while tempering them but never soul matched.
Love your vids for nioh and nioh 2. Won't watch others. Yours are so in-depth and easy to understand. Appreciate your hard work in bringing us such quality vids. Thank you.
was really helpful man thanks a lot i viewed popular nioh 2 videos but they didnt explain at all there they jus said you do the soul match to transfer the perks but i was having a lot of troubles trying to understand them. For someone like me who has never played nioh 1 your video helped me a lot than those other random popular youtubers.
thanks for this. i couldn't figure out why the orange inheritable wasn't crossing over to my other weapon. the clashing enhancement types! now it works. sweet!
Great job man. Well done. One question. I saw that some divine weapons have a specific action skill with purple colour as a perk. Is it possible to acquire it by tempering or only by forging like nioh 1? Also, do you know if this is at the same pool with change to attack or not?
The pool has been the same for me so far and I've spent more than 10 mil tempering. The purples, as long as they are not static, can be tempered. I believe it's always been so.
hey there, great video! I just entered NG+, been trying out soul matching and its still a bit confusing Let's say: BASE: Sword 160 (+3) MATERIAL: Tonfa 150 (+1) - max familiarity will the orange perk from the lower level tonfa be moved to the higher level sword ? Or do the material need to be on the same level as the base for the orange perk to be moved over ?
I wish i watched your video earlier, i watched multiple other guides and i did not know that the white inheritable would override the previous one, i thought its just a 1 time thing, so i overid my A+ Dex scaling on my main kusarigama.... it was such a let down, couse i work 100% and dont have so much time to play an i only got this once.
So, in order to increase the attack of the weapon your soul matching, you have to have both the catalyst and the material at max familiarity? Or does it depend on the weapon?
Question: white inheritables can only override other white inheritables if they are on max Familiarity, What about Orange ones? Do they need to be on max familiarity?
I have a lvl99 purple weapon and I cannot soul match it further than 101 even tho I Soul Match with with 120,130,140 etc . I dont get it.. Do you have an idea?
If you are tranfering ORANGE symbol Perks yes, sincce they become normal after transfer. If you are using the WHITE symbol that stays with the Perk then you can have just one per piece and will be overwritten by a max Familiarity one.
Yes thank you so much. I couldn’t figure out why some white inheritable abilities did not transfer. Also that orange explanation was priceless. I’ll have to more carefully scrutinize all the stuff I sell from now on.
How does it work if both soul match weapons have each a transferable skill? I have two spears and no matter which one is the base part of the match spear A always gives his skill to spear B... no matter which one is on top.. both same level and max familiarity
Mista FiOth well then the perk compatibility is not given in my case i guess... the transferable skill is melee damage against yokai 2% and spear A already has low attack damage 4%... they clash i guess? Because they both raise damage?
Mista FiOth thank you again! So what increases damage the most? Attack bonus A+ (stamina) or low attack damage 4,3% ... given i am a low attack spear fighter
Hey guys, i tried to soul match my weapon to a higher level. The attack went up the imbue lighting +9 however went down to +6? Does anyone know anything about this? And does that mean there is a way to level up the imbue numbers?
@@MistaFiOth I see, I'm playing through ng+ and killing every revenant i find, so i assumed I was getting them from revenants, thanks for the quick reply regardless
