Nioh DLC: Date Masamune Boss Fight (1080p 60fps) 

i know this isn't Sengoku Basara, but i was still waiting for him to scream "are you ready guys?"

Who else hoped they'd see 6 swords drawn and not just 2?

I love how he has a frekaing Nūrihyon as one of his guardian spirits alongside Seiryu. I mean, a tea-drinking old man and the Dragon King of the East? It's such a wierd combo and yet it looks so damn cool.

The One Eyed Dragon, was waiting on him to say one of his Engrish lines I would’ve screamed. 😂😂

Epic boss fight speech. In the dojo fight and higher difficulties, he's just in perma living weapon mode, with little downtime, which makes this fight extremely hard. Even a tanky build gets 1shot by his dash on Way of the Nioh.

Best and toughest boss in game due to guardian spirits. For those who don't know who the old man is it's nurariyhon one of the strongest yokai in myths.

Really nice job! Most of what I have seen is over-leveled beatdowns. It is nice to see a "normal" battle with him. Thanks!

Never got hard stuck on a boss like this one Kos and Isshin took me about 4 hours And this guy took me 2 years from first encounter to finish It took me 30 minutes after finishing Nioh 2 Thanks Nioh 2 ending for giving me courage to take on him again

This game is so awesome!!!! I've put about 260 hours into it. Still playing it. Like the comments state Date Masamune is probably the hardest boss in the game. I live in southern Japan on Kyushu in Kumamoto prefecture and have been surprised by how much this game teaches about Samurai. One of the Samurai you face in the training dungeons trained the Samurai from the town I live in. I was blown away when I read about him teaching the Sagara clan. The town I'm in is only about 40,000 people and very country. Anyway, this game is freakishly addictive and probably my favorite game to date on PS4. But I love Horizon and MGS5 as well.

Date Masamune is a character in Sengoku Basara, he's a Dokugan Ryu.

Bullshit. The One Eyed dragon would have torn him apart with one X - Bolt.

I just killed this boss first try without even trying. I don't understand what is making him hard for people, and I see him mostly on top of the "hardest boss" tier lists.

This is my fav boss of the game, and the best boss in the series as a whole so far. Thats just me though.

Why is Masamune always depicted wearing an eye-patch? Did he wear one in real life? Also, why do they adhere to the Japanese name order in Nioh (surname first), but not in Samurai Warriors? They're both localized by Koei Tecmo.

Having more of a Sailor from history. Not even a retainer even as a Samurai defeat Date in my opinion is kinda messed up. Of course its fiction based on true events with mystical creatures and yokai. But it's like making a story where a cook in the military could defeat a Spec ops soldier in a firefight. Oh well. Fiction. And still love the game.

Try quick change scroll,amulet ( any element), steel talisman,sloth talisman,devigorate,power pill, weakness taliman I kill him in a minute cause with quick change scroll u wont be afraid to die, and with sloth talisman date masamune will be slowed down till he looks like stunned and you can just attack him freely

God this boss is bullshit. I can handle his constant guardian spam, but the health he has and his bullshit one-shot-kill charge attack is just fucking ridiculous.
