Nope. That's not enough . Becuase that means you're free to steal and if you get caught, just flew to UK and return the money (you can keep the interest). That's not fair. The thief must be punished under law.
It's tragic to see that so much efforts is made to keep fraudsters human rights intact. That's sheer amount of Hypocrisy. And nothing is done for billions of people's human rights who tortured by religious extremists.
It doesn't work like that. The case is decided on the merits of the specific case itself. Comparing it with others is just waste of time nothing else. We have to understand that the situation in jail system is indeed in very bad condition. It has been instilled in our mind that there is no reformation once you get into jail. The system of our country makes mockery out of human rights.
@@dopegod987 everyone is entitled to a fair treatment in jail. That has nothing to do with one's extent of crime. I suggest you watch some of Larry Lawton's videos on how jails should improve.
@@IndianGeek5589 I know that it has nothing to do with one's crime what I am saying is comparing it with another case is waste of time. Every case has it's own merits and while deciding case judges will go through those merits and I know about improving the conditions of the jail, I am a lawyer myself and have been to jail visits and have been to human rights conventions about the same.

The branch manager of PNB cannot be the only big player from the bank loaning money for 6 years without even crosschecking/asking for the collateral for LoUs. If thats the case then then we should shut down the nationals all together.

UK preaching human rights to India, till date there is no formal apology from them for their heinous crimes committed on Indians, upholding the law is must, but clearly this man does not respect the law nor need the protection of Indian law, so natural justice had to be served in any manner possible

Recently i watched a Netflix series in that series. It is well explained how the scam was conducted. Who all were involved. The bank manager and the clerk are subjected to court hearing in india but how come nirav modi is not. Also why is india just focusing on nirav modi . We should also get his crime partner mahul chakusi back to india. Yes i agree that india judiciary is at bad shape. Its because every convect get chance to defend him/her self . For defence i can say that in india, supreme court was made to listen to the review plea late midnight by yakub menon before he was hang to death. So before questioning the integrity of indian court people we should think about past acts done by supreme court . Coming to the next point regards jails. Yes india has absolutely no or hardly any human rights for convects as cases result are pending for years. India judiciary should change if we want to become a world superpower. We can include more technology like ai to get fast hearing. If nirav modi is facing depression so are the pnb bank account holders.

People lost there faith in indian courts... Delhi rape case has taken 7 years for the verdict... Our indian courts have taken 2 years for verdict in terrorist kasab case...
Question that matters here is why international courts don’t trust Indian system? Had we made our trials fair, proper conditions in jails & put some rules on press ( to not conduct media trials) then this or all cases would be much easier case to handle.. when and who will change our system that’s the questions.. Most politicians exist only to do divisive politics but not to correct and improve our existing corrupt system
Ehy should India work as per the rules of the courts working outside India. Talking about media trials it is something kot specific to India. Donald Trump has been facing a similar issue in the USA. The issue is that many people in India as well as abroad look at the UK, Europe, and the USA as superior lands, which isn't the case.

Don't get fooled, visit any jail. They're so overcrowded and suffocating that you'll feel breathless and lightheaded just by walking through the hall, especially in summer.

The real problem here is cuz of government is not doing anything at all to improve conditions of our prisons. If it wasn't for that, his extradition won't be a problem..
If an individual commits a crime in his country either in India or in a developing nation in Africa, why should UK judiciary bother about prison conditions n that country .? Can all the countries around the world improve the prision conditions of the UK level just for one or two inmates ?

Why can’t we just retrieve the money which was lost that’s all people of India need , Nirav modi can continue to be in Wandsworth prison no need for him to be extradited if money is retrieved. Rather people like Hanif, JS Chouhan should have been extradited back to India
