This is not the full version. I was at that show. And that douche kept getting on stage. And after one too many times, Kurt Cobain pushed him off stage, went after him, and proceeded to beat him. And still bloodied and beaten, he wanted to get back on stage. People tried to stop him but in the 80's in east NYC, nobody wants blood on them.

Apparently Kurt got mad at Jason for going after the guy after they'd shoved him off stage. He thought it was excessive. Kurt and Krist were actually pretty peaceful guys and preferred to respond to hecklers with humor rather than violence (although in this case they didn't have a choice since this drunk asshole was screwing up their gear).
