In Search of Nirvana! A cinematic travel film created from a trip to India and Nepal a couple of months back.
This trip did a lot for me, not only was I able to experience India for a second time but I got to see two cultures who lived almost entirely at peace with each other's differences.
We spent 3 weeks traveling through the sub continent of India learning about it's history, meeting the amazing people and exploring the culture further. Then we crossed the border to the north leading to the magical lands of Nepal - a place i'll never forget. One thing that stood out was that these two cultures and their seperate religions had a similar goal; reach a state of Nirvana either in this life time or the next, I really wanted to portray this common theme in the story as well as the vibe I got from each place (India red flame, Nepal Blue flame)
This film was only possible thanks to G Adventures! Their tour took us off the beaten track, through local villages and allowed us to capture some of the most remote places.

I have a few thing i have to get off my chest: first i loved your video. Reasons: you kept it simple and that is the most important not too many drone shots, not too many gimbal and if believe you didn,t use one. And obove all the esitinf works well, ecen thoufh a bit too much cut on the rhythm of the music. I would sufgest that you try out some montages with the ibternal rhythm of the footage and editing it to the music instead of cuttin at ecer beat. It kinda feels off adter time, looses it,s naturality. Aaaaaaaand i love that you are very seldomly using any effect for some transitions or eveb masks to create seemless trainsitions, they,re so overused and you used ir only twice or three times in the whole movie i believe. Yeah well amd storytelling there isn,t really much alonsode you saying how you feel about it. But it,s ok it,s a freaking tracel film. Not everything needs to have a stoey in a traditional sense. So you working for the high class of filmmakers or something? Great job man.

I have to say something: This is probably one of the best videos I have seen so far in terms of storytelling, sound design, color grade and I could continue endless with this list! Well, my own conclusion, okay? Editing is damn on next level and yup, the shots, my Goodness!! I know how hard it is to get all those angles but you did any way, great job!! I'd too taken a journey of this videography world and had been taking classes for it for the last couple of weeks and I'm really not sure yet whether I could get the magic touch or not but rest assured, I got a lots of idea in my brain brewing...... Finally I'm glad RU-vid recommended a video to me. So many great shots and a LOT of editing. Those little touches of animating paintwork and make up, in combination with some amazing transitions (like that sun exploding!). The story started off amazing, would have loved to hear some more about Nirvana. However the images said enough, I wouldn't have mind more voiceover.

Video editing overpowered reality in my opinion. I am an Indian & I doubt if all praise is true & correct. For example, that sage was asking for money (correctly - MORE money!). Who in the world would love that fact? Most of the passerby on road looked frustrated and staring anything but happy. If you like India really, then you must be Indian in past life!

If you aren't making feature films or even thinking about it, I need you to dude. THIS WAS A MASTERPIECE. Not cliche or stereotypical with colour grade and music, but natural and harmonious with the location you were in. And the narration wasn't about where you went and what you liked, but it was documenting the thoughts you had along the way. My favourite quote of this was, "These people weren't very fortunate, bu they had million dollar smiles and stories to tell". God fucking damn dude. This have actually triggered some kind of vibe in me to travel and look out for the real emotions, understand the diversed culture, and film them in a way that people who watch it should get to feel the true sense of that place. I loved India, but when I got to Nepal I knew I was in love. This little country captured my heart and 8 years later I just want everyone to experience Nepal. Sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming, so I'm always here to help travelers to Nepal to have a better time. To me, India would be the side trip.
