I have seen this played and described various ways. You can play it as a "box position" lower on the neck. But I think it is generally played sliding around. I mainly use my first and second finger. On the descending runs, I tend to just slide back with first finger and pick off the notes as I am sliding down the neck. It is probably closer to the original if you use more of your fingers though. But, hey, you do you, and have some fun with it :)
