Cobain was probably the only rock (or otherwise) lyricist to put words 'ectoplasma' and 'ectoskeletal' together in a single sentence, and make them so emotionally charged.
No band---or, for that matter, song--better combines the rage of punk with the muscle of grunge. An "anti-song" of savage beauty that combines rock's most "predatory" riff with its most psychotic vocals. Love live the REAL Nirvana!
Okay so I’m addicted to the video. The part where Kurt is laughing from that interview seems so disingenuous within the confines of this song … like he’s almost making fun of us as he pulls us deeper in.
The vocal on this is absolutely mind blowing, it’s terrifying that he was able to go there, how?? I wish they would release the isolated vocal because that in itself is a piece of sonic art.

I used to HATE nirvana with the exception of a few songs. Not to be hip but apparently i either never went through enough or never tried hard enough to appreciate the band. Feels weird saying it but I'm really enjoying this band for the first time. Im 26 and I've listened to a lot of music but never understood this band til now
Glad you finally came around (4 years ago). You’re 30 now, and I hope you’ve discovered what made this band special. It’s easy to be thrown off by their popularity but there’s a reason they’re so well known I guess

OMG this is such a great post Nirvana video. I think Kurt would have liked this. But isn't there a lot of footage of him performing it live? Maybe you could have used some of that.
