Lol, this comment is both hilarious and eerily nostalgic to me. I had a friend back in 1996-ish whose mom bought him a red Eagle Talon. Of course, eventually, he wanted a Mitsubishi eclipse so they traded it in for one in forest green. Interesting comparison and bang-on to the point.
Seether has the most underrated live sound. His voice fills a room like no other voice I've ever heard. It's pretty special. One of the EXTREMELY rare voices that have to be heard in person to get it.
The Seether cover is outstanding and they're obviously trying to sound as much like Nirvana as possible, and they do a great job at it. For this, I'd give it to Nirvana, and I think Seether would agree.
I mean Seether does really good covers, I wouldn't really expect many others to do nirvana songs, but no NO ONE WILL ever be able to do Kurt's screams, his voice in general no matter how close, he used to cough up blood after shows becoz of his style of singing..he shredded his cords because it'd scream so hard, and he did it not because he couldn't sing right, but because he wanted the anger, angst, depression, anxiety, love and hate all to come through in his singing, sometimes I think the way he sang the words meant more then the words he sang, not for every singer understand, but definitely Kurt, there was a reason he emphasized certain parts of song and lyrics to others..at least to me. RIP Kurt and Layne, the world lost so much talent 8 years apart on the same day, and i wish we could have seen what was to come, even if that meant retirement and sitting on a porch playing an acoustic guitar..could you imagine a song where Kurt would play acoustic guitar and backing vocals with Layne singing lead...omg that've been fucken nuts, some kind AIC, Nirvana, Johnny Cash and Beatles all smashed together. Who knows what they wouldve accomplished clean and sober..fuck even if they'd have got on suboxone or methadone the rest of their life and really used the program correctly..any over losing them..even if that meant no more music at all from them, I don't think they'd ever been able to go without some form of musical creation within their lives..it was just part of them.
obviously love the original, i have no idea who the second guy was but i friggin love his tone! never considered listening to nirvana covers, because the random clips i may hear in a short never do the songs justice
Man I loved nirvana first so I’d have to say Kurt did it better, although Seether is my favorite band Shaun is probably the only person that will ever come that close to sound like Kurt in my opinion.
Nobody could ever do this song better than nirvana but with that said, Seether is the most underrated band all time. Seether still putting great hits out. They are the best of the 90's bands left:
Dark divine feminine vs dark divine masculine. Both good, but completely different. It frustrates me when people say they sound alike because there are distinct differences. I do acknowledge there are similarities. For instance someone trained AI on Kurt's voice on RU-vid and then puppeteered him to sing Change by Deftones, and then that version sounded exactly like Shaun Morgans' version of that cover. However neither Kurt or Shaun sound like Chino Moreno so it's interesting.
Nothing beats the original, of course (and it's Nirvana, duh), but Seether does a damn good job covering it. One of the best Nirvana covers I've ever heard. They were his inspiration after all!
I like Seether. One of my favorite band’s growing up but any Nirvana cover they do will always be good but not good enough to be better then the original. I’m sure that wasn’t Seether attention to make it better. They just wanted to acknowledge the band and this is the only band I see doing a lot more then most.
Seether nas músicas dele é muito melhor que a voz do nirvana, e a única coisa que vejo aí é a qualidade do vídeo, mas o vocal do seether tá cantando super bem essa música.
O Shaun Morgan do Seether canta muitooooo... Pra mim ele é o cara que faz as melhores versões do Nirvana, mas sempre gosto mais do original - assim como gosto mais das músicas do Seether na voz Shaun.
Just wanna leave this here. Around 23:30 she reads her moms text. The mother wanted her out because the mom wanted more benefits. Meaning the mother is on welfare. At 18 in a lot of states if your parent is on welfare, they lose the benefits they have for you because you are now a legal adult. So she could no longer milk her child and the system and wanted her out. I’m betting the son isn’t 18 yet. Also betting that someone told her that if your child who is 18+ opens their own case, they can get their own benefits, so now she wants her daughter back. I worked in the field for years and saw this happen many times. Sad and irresponsible on the mothers part.
