In the example of stock split it should be 1300 rupees and not 130 as 100 shares are distributed so if initial amount of investment was 130000 for 1 share then 130000 should be divided by 100(as 100 shares are distributed for one share). Therefore the value of 1 stock after stock split would be 1300 and not 130.

In Bonus Shares: there might be some confusion to people with after bonus market price adjustment (video 23:08) so im clearing that below: Before bonus share: 10,000 @10 each After bonus of 1:2 the total will be 10,000 +5000 =15,000 So if you have to calculate simply but (before share x share price / total no. of shares) Hence 10,000 x 10 / 15000 = 6.66)

Hello sir In your question bank for chapter 9 Second last question How does a rights issue impact shareholder ownership? It increases proportionate ownership It decreases proportionate ownership It has no impact on ownership It transfers ownership to new investors Correct answer It increases proportionate ownership But in workbook of nism it is mentioned As a result of rights issue, total number of outstanding shares goes up with a corresponding increase in the cash in the asset side of the balance sheet. If all shareholders subscribe to their full entitlements/rights," their proportionate ownership remains unchanged "and the number of shares held by them goes up. Pg 175 (second line). (My doubt is" it remains unchanged should be the answer) Please explain.

What happens in a merger ? • Assets and liabilities remain separate • The acquiring company absorbs the target • Both companies cease to exist • The target buys the acquiring company This was the question asked in the question bank, answer was target buys the acquiring company, but the answer should be both companies cease to exist na ? (Keep Vodafone and idea - VI merger in mind)

Agar company new shares issue karti hai to existing shareholders ki equity % bhi badh jayegi na automatically, time (18.14) agar 1L shares pe 10% holding hai to jab new 1L issue honge to 20% holding hojayegi na. Please explain
