DJ HEX does the zip tie provide enough tension?

Sorry Adam, no idea of the factory fabric, sucks that the top got ripped.

Material 2 x 34" x 1.5" reinforced elastic I doubled up on the elastic to give it more strength so each piece is 17" long, Velcro on each end (about 4")so I can make a circle that is adjustable (hope that makes sense) I used the factory locations where the elastic bands are and just went over top of them. Still working :-)

You wont do any damage, look at the video and make your bands roughly the same tension & if not tight enough reset the tension until enough, look at your old elastic band and make the new one a bit tighter, all they do is make the convertible band turn a little.

You could try, as long as you have a way to fasten the ends.

Take a look at the stock underside of the soft top, there is 2 elastic bands that help the convertible top bar twist when closing, if the straps are worn they will not twist the bar and the top will not close. The 2 reinforced elastic straps I put on fixes that problem by putting pressure on the bar and making it twist on the way down, just like factory on stronger.

I got them from a fabric store, be sure to get the reinforced type.

Hey man, Read the comments & description, gives the sizes and what is needed, get the parts from a decent fabric store or Walmart or online.
