This goes to show that skill can overcome. Just because you buy a faster car doesn't always mean you will be fast/er (track dependent). Great driving, To me I felt more so that the gtr driver was upset you were there and he couldn't shake you than you needing patience as some others have stated.
Great driving! Thats how a M3 should be driven! The GTR driver clearly doesn't know the track or he just can't drive... He's only faster (in a straight line) because he has about 100 bhp more.
Yea I believe the 911 was a GT3 RS 4.0, looking at that footage it looks supremely quick, he must have nailed the last corner and comes past me with a huge speed advantage (though my exit was really affected by the GTR's slowish cornering) and appears to even real the GTR in.
I would like to say as the driver of the GT-R that I had just completed 3 hot laps immediatly prior to this filming and the tyres were well off which limited my cornering speed. There was a fair bit of traffic in places and I was 2 up. I normally lap the full circuit in around 8.20 to 8.30. I was rarely at full throttle and had backed off in a number of places particually on the last corner and main straight. This is not to say that the BWM was not driven well, it was and I love the footage.
Some amazing driving by the M-driver! Vid shows how bloody quick the GTR is in full-throttle though, huh!? That white 911 at the end fairly boofed it away, too!
