A Sunday 5:30am rescue call from Pakenham & Warragul police to attend the intersection of Bullock Link Track and Forest Rd to assist with an off-road search and rescue job.
The driver and her 3 passengers had become bogged in their Nissan Patrol and with no phone service managed to get onto SOS triple zero 000 to ask for help. The driver managing to only to get very few details out about the location and situation, however she requested that 000 contact Edge247 Recovery & Salvage to undertake the extraction.
Edge247 Recovery were met onsite by two officers out of Warragul station and gave instructions to assess the situation when we locate the casualty and either ferry the occupants out immediately or undertake the recovery if safe to do so.
Once located in the well known gully of Bullock Link Track the site assessment that was carried out deemed it was safe to undertake the recovery and bring the family and casualty vehicle out in one trip.
With some obstacles to overcome for the Rescue Mog and the casualty vehicle in still moist conditions made for a slow and safe drive in and out of the location.
