Mine doesn't have a diff locker but from what you showed on the video I suppose the locker is vacuum operated. The electrical circuit from the switch on the dash operates the solenoid inside the engine bay, and the solenoid in turn allows vaccum from the vaccum tank/reservoir to reach the diff locking mechanism.

I believe yours have, but maybe something is wrong or removed. If I'm not mistaken all Y60 had rear difflocks. And yes you got that right, by turning switch on dash you activate the small magnetic "engine" in engine bay that pumps vacuum in or out of the diff. For long time I thought that my diff was fine but it turned out that only one side of that small vacuum pump was working. It only turned it off :D After changing the small vacuum pump or what ever that thing in engine bay is called all started working properly and I got to know what is the actual feeling of driving with diff locks :)

@@thecrazylatvian That is a good site indeed. Just like the catalog at Partsouq. On the other hand, you can find online the complete FSM (factory service manual) where you can find assembling/disassembling instructions, torques, etc.

@@cidadaodorense3231 ok, thats a shocker for me :O well it's not the end of the world, because you can install the ABR one or something like that. After time I'm planing to add front blocker also. But that would be a modification part of my project.
