Nissan Qashqai J10 1.5 DCI no crank no start... Fault finding and repair. 

Thank you so much. I live in South Africa I have had an intermittent Crank no start on NISSAN QASHQAI j10 after watching your video I checked engine earth cable it was loose ! I travel a lot around rural SA so this is a life saver .

Thanks for this, found this video after buying a new battery and checking fuses, i was about to give up and decided to have a look on you tube , after watching this I found I had exactly this issue, I repaired it and problem resolved.

This the first car with a good amount of gas I’ve seen in this channel. 😂😂

Thank you very much because I had exactly same problem. I informed my mechanic he came and temporarily started it by touching the broken wire and I drove it to the garage to get it repaired.

Thanks pal same problems with mine and went today I assumed it was the starting motor and left it parked up until everywhere’s open tomorrow but now I can check that out before jumping the gun

Hi I’ve just had the same problem,turned the key so the ignition lights come on then nothing,the problem was the starter motor failed which then sent all the power down the negative/earth strap which connects to the body and gearbox.this burnt out and snapped 😢new starter motor £85 and earth cable from Nissan £86😢after fitting my car runs like new and starts straight away 🎉hope this helps,great video this like.

Hi! I'm getting kinda desperate so I wanted to check in with you for an advice because you've handled couple of j10's with 1.5DCI engine. I have exactly the same engine in my Qashqai, it is 2007 Tekna Plus model - I've owned it for a year and within that year car stopped running 4 times. What happens is that I am casually driving fine, and all of a sudden I get ESP OFF and a red check engine light - I usually park it, turn if off and on, error clears out and I drive away fine. But sometimes, that isn't the case. It just stops, loses complete power - it cranks but it doesn't start. I have taken it to 4 different mechanics and had high pressure sensor replaced, ESP module replaced, fuel filters replaced, fuel regulator and cleaning of the system done. ESP OFF and Red Check Engine has returned yesterday indicating that it will die again soon in the future. Do you have any advice on what to check? Please and thank you!
