I bought the Qashqai and it is an awesome car. The driving experience is luxurious and the traction control in sharp higher speed corners makes it a dream to drive.
A friend and I tested the rear seat space in my new kuga, and, there was loads of room for us to enjoy ourselves, 😏 it drives well and all his silly dislikes should not put you off what is a great car.
If you want to compare comfort, get a normal Kuga! Not a ST Line. My vote definitely goes to the Kuga. By the way... did you know that you can rest the boot floor on the 3 bumps at the bottom of the rear seats when you fold down the rear seats... Presto! a flat boot floor.
Don't care what Matt says I can tell you in real terms as I have a a power chair and have tried all 3 cars and the kuga is the only one that I can fit the power chair in the back with the back seats left up Plus you can lift the floor up to make it a flat load in the back
I have drive all 3. All 3 are nice car to drive. I can only have automatic cos my problem with my left leg. Had Ford for 3 years and only get 38 mile per gallon! Now I'm on kadjar and get 55 mile per gallon. Mate of my got Quahqai automatic only do 34 mile per gallon got same engine as my kadjar 1.5 automatic dci. I'm happy with kadjar so comfortable to drive.
The Nissan kicked this whole segment off, (and for a brief time in 2017, was he best selling car (so sad). So I don't care how nice it may look, drive, or mpg, etc.. I don't want one.
@@iphone202020220 in the last few years have you heard of widespread issues with the maxima, murano or pathfinder cvt? I have 178k on my cvt and it's not broken in my Altima but I was just took someone off the side of the road when his Toyota Corolla with 130k miles transmission shifted itself. Any car can have a problem.
Have nothing against diesel (some are very clean, and run nicely!), but strange that the Nissan 1.5 diesel is 'recommended' when the Mayor of London's website (google "mayor of london newer vehicle checker") states that it emits up to 12 times more NOx than it should (roughly equivalent to two Euro6 buses), the Kadjar's diesel is not much better - and where a Tiguan diesel for example actually complies with Euro 6. Strange. (I think the answer might be SCR?).
It's interesting how 'dirty' in real-world on-road emission testing the popular Nissan/Renault diesels are! It's not such a big issue now, as a lot of customers of SUV's and CUV's are switching to petrol engines (ironically, until the recent mandated fitting of petrol particulate filters to direct injection petrol engines, they were actually very bad for micro-particles; and also petrol contains benzene, a known carcinogen...). But when fuel prices start rising again, the pendulum will swing the other way, and fuel guzzling petrol-engined SUV's will lose! People will want a clean 'economical' diesel with low CO2...!
Hi iam in procces to buy a second hand suv and my badget is for a 2019-2020 kadjar or a nissan quaskai 1.6 or 1.7 .Did you had any problems so far with the renault and what type of engine you choose?
@@ΒαγγεληςΜωραιτης-φ8ρ hi, I have the 1.5 diesel automatic engine (this is my very first automatic car and I truly dont regret) and despite its a big car its very economic. Since I bought it I havent had any single issues at all. Renault engines are very reliable so you wont go wrong. Personally...I have never own a Nissan but I drove this model (Quashai) several times including the Kuga and other Ford models and I will still stay with Renault. Why? cheap to run with very decent engine. Another point to consider it that the Kadjar is way bigger than the Quashai, you can feel it when you drive them, I mainly got the Kadjar cos I love go for camping and when the weather is shite, I can sleep inside, plenty space....at the end, its your choice.
I test the Qashqai (the old, not the new), and Kuga and buy a Kuga in last year, for me is the best car (of that three), and i can buy the Kuga more cheaper that the other 2. ;)
Update my car has been in the dealership for 4 months. I have all the paperwork service and diagnostic reports etc etc to support my car engine was faulty before the point of purchase. The dealership, Nissan customer care & Nissan finance agree that the engine was indeed faulty before I bought the car. At the moment the dealership have to perform certain diagnostics on the engine to find out where the noise is coming from as the warranty company need this before they will sign off a new one. If you type 2014 Nissan Qashqai engine fault in a search engine take a look at the results I have no words. I payed for an extended service plan after the complimentary ones ran out. In this service plan it says that I get a courtesy car while the car is being serviced I have had no car for 4 months. The only thing stopping me from going directly to a solicitor is the lady at Nissan customer care she is an absolute credit to them. I honestly believe she is trying to help. So much red tape to get them to finally admit this known fault £19500 for a car that needs a new engine 3 years into a 4 year + finance package. I WILL not give up this fight. If you read this please like this post to help my plight. I have heard there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Watch this space fingers crossed 🤞
@@jakethesnake1138 No I gave it back I had no confidence in the car at all. Nissan customer care were an absolute joke. I was stitched up with that car right from the start. I lost the £9500 I invested into it. The dealership offered me a different Qashqai a 1.5 diesel Tekna a new finance deal I had a test drive and was one day away from collection. I changed my mind as I didn’t want to risk another 4 years finance in this current climate. So now no car at all. Can you imagine how I feel now so gutted. Nissan customer care DO NOT CARE. 1.2 digi t engines manufactured in 2014 are out there with known faults beware. The amount I now hear on the road ( now I have to walk 😂) with rattling timing chains is unreal. BEWARE OF 2014 ENGINES..
@@winty2721 Thanks for the heads up, sorry to hear of your situation but one good thing is its saved me buying one 👍 . . . I was in the market for one, now looking at various reviews I think ill give it a miss, apparently they are plagued with issues from mechanical to electrical. Real shame as they are a nice looking car for the money.
@@jakethesnake1138 I still think that a later model Qashqai is a great option. The Tekna is amazing with all the tech. I just wanted to warn people in regards to my experience with the 2014 model 1.2 Digi t. It’s a complete cover up what happened with this engine. If people just researched this they would realise. I trusted Nissan to sell me a fit for purpose car. How wrong was I they would not even repair if. It’s a disgrace how it ended for me. I know it’s a cliche but Karma has a funny way of working. I think I will have the last laugh one day. Good luck with your choice. Just stay away from 2014 1.2 digi t. It’s the same engine in the pulsar which also has the same issues. All the best thanks Jake Kaizen principles in Nissan are supposed to form a basis of their whole work ethic and ethos. I never expected to have such a poor customer experience with them I am shocked that they can treat customers this way. Sorry for the rant still feel the pain 😡
Kuga better by far, didnt show full “flat floor” in boot when seats are down and “peculiar lip” is there for a purpose . 3 car comparison but 2 where basically badged different and a Kuga had a firm suspension because it was the Sporty ST Line model. Be nice to know what these reviewers are paid to say about the models
Nice vid. I have the Kadjar in Dynamique Nav spec. I thinks its the best balance of spec against pricing to be fair, and that tyre noise goes away with using the 17 inch deeper tyre over the standard 19 inch on the S spec model. Tyre choice will help as well as i have found. The 1.5 is a great balance of power and economy, and the unit is used in a whole host of platforms...including Mercedes...what does that tell you. Wth the extra length on the rear of Kadjar that gives you better boot space and a non step boot floor that helps loading, I recon its a Great value car in my opinion.
I am moving from Qashqai (QQ) to a Kuga. The Qashqai is just a raised car with tech thrown in to sell them to people that need the unnecessary tech. QQ size, and drive feel is 1/2 way between a car and an SUV. QQ and Renault are Semi SUV. Kuga is proper SUV, wider, longer, taller, more passenger space, more boot space. Handling is fine. Suspension is better, seating is better. It feels better built. K9K 1.5 diesel renault engine on my QQ was giving 70mpg on motorway and 50mpg combined. It is frugel and has enough torque and power on motorway. QQ drives like a smaller car than an SUV and will give a big saving on fuel and road tax. But having owned a QQ for 5 months, it was too small, and already feels like it will age quicker, engine exhaust noisier already. Kuga dorotorq is a stronger engine. Kuga for me all day long as it is just larger, more comfort, more practical, a better all round vehicle that fells like it will last. I really like the QQ but I really prefer a proper SUV than a car AND as SUVs go you Kugas are well priced, good bang for buck and can usually get a good deal with Ford. Also, Ford 1 year extended warranty was only £200. Go Qashqai type raised car if you want lowest running cost but less space. Go Kuga if you want more space, better safety with slightly higher but not excessive running cost.
We have a 2017 Reg Kadjar Dynamic N Auto 15 diesel, I have had it now 5 years, at least 55 miles to the gallon general and town driving, road tax is £20, insurance very cheap, ULEZ compliant, depreciation is very small as it is not made anymore and is very desirable for people who want to do long journeys without worrying about the battery needing recharging. Big enough for a large dog in the boot. Just had a Qashqai as a courtesy car...its OK but glad to get the Kadjar back.
I have the same car - has done 67k miles and was going to chop it in for an MG HS but I just can't do it. I average around 58 MPG on motorways and the MG will return around 32. Im just going to stick with the kadjar and run it into the ground
@@Julie36285 100% - i was offered 9k on trade in agianst an MG HS which was 19k. but i can't justify getting rid of the car and handing over 10k in cash for something I love driving. Needs timing belt doing next year but touch wood ive had no issues at all with the kadjar.
Kuga is so much better. I have a Qashqai (QQ) and very soon changing to a (used) Kuga. The Qashqai 1.5 diesel does 70mpg +, mixed driving 50 to 60 mpg and I really like driving it but changing to Kuga for these reasons:- Kuga feels like a proper SUV not just a tall car. QQ and Renault are just tall cars. Kuga has more space everywhere. Kuga has better seats, is wider so less cramped in front -widthwise, much more legroom for rear passengers and much more boot space. Better engine on Kuga.. I have concerns about how good/strong the QQ engine is compared to the 2litre dutatorq in Kuga. older QQs diesels seem noisy and rattle like a bag of gravel, it may be economical but thats not everything, engine should be the least of my concerns but isn't on QQ. Better Suspension on Kuga. QQ has good suspension with low body roll, Kuga is noticably better on rough surfaces, about the same roll in corners. Paintwork, QQ paint looks very thin inside doors and on pillars. Chassis, Kuga looks better made underneath. QQ great to park, QQ already has a steering knock. Kuga is the largest SUV size that seems to fit most car park bays fairly easily. Kuga drives like the QQ just feels a little larger so driving experience fairly close. To me Kuga is the ideal 5 seater SUV car. Later Kuga models have reversing cameras but to be honest you don't "need" cameras. Fords/ Kuga are generally well priced and can always get a good deal with Fords. Nissan want to load their cars with tech and charge more for it but remember you are buying a car so the car specifics should take priority and the equipment second. If you just want a tall car with excellent economy and not a Kuga then consider QQ or Renault with the 1.5 dci (Renault K9K) engine gives 50mpg minimum town/ mixed and on a motorway between 60mph and 70mph, you will get 70 to 75mpg from these on motorway, yes they are that fuel efficient.
If you are into hauling trailers horse boxes or caravans ,The Kuga is far better in terms of engine power hitch down load capacity and load capacity , making towing a joy. I know because I tow with one.
As someone who owns the kuga titanium it's defo the best it's got tray tables for the kids and it's easy to clean and the seats don't have a lip when you fold the seats overall for the kuga 7.5/10 for the Renault 0/10 it's a Renault and for the Nissan 7/10
I think I would get the Kia Sorento because you get a great discount from carwow and it feels well built (not that’s it’s on this video) what do you think mat? But if I chose out of these 3 it would Be the Ford Kuga
Very Good as usual, but you should also consider comparing petrol engine with automatic gearbox which are more famous in countries other than UK also you need to take reliability as a factory as well for instance Qashqai has massive issues in its turbo petrol engine as well as the cvt gearbox but kuga and Renault are more solid
After listening to the review I have come to the decision not to take any thing you say as of any use for your informative I have driven the car's in you review and the Ford drives so much better than the others
These cars are not actual SPORTS UTILITY VEHICLES because they're all front wheel drive unless you get an AWD version. which are bulky and underpowered
Go for a Vignale model if you have the money, then you'll experience something like x3 ,q3 but sadly more reliable than the Germans , wich have lost alot of ground in therms of reliability. I own an X3 2.0d 2012 and my father a 2.5t Kuga also from 2012, and what can I say is that I put aaaaloooot alot of money into X3, first, the turbo wich cost me 1500$, second the catalyst system wich only to clean it cost me 700$, and overall , just not worth at all, that Kuga I used to laugh at her runs almost 200.000km and it didn't had a single problem, aand it was 4000$ cheaper than my X3........I really do consider a Kuga Vignale now as a new car, the reliability it has is just astonishing.
That's great. This car charger provides 1 smart USB port that can intelligently detects your devices to deliver its fastest possible charging speed. www.ebay.com/itm/143010673764
I think you are wrong, the 1,5 diesel in the Kadjar is louder in my opinion also not as powerful. If you have the ECO mode button off in the 1.6 diesel the car comes to life like the 1.5 will never do. imo
What about Mazda CX-5? I think CX-5 is even better than Kadjar...actually I don't think there is any SUV better (in its class ofc) than CX-5. What do you think?
errr. this is promoted as the 2019 models in the title, but these are obviously 2016 and 2017 plate cars. why are you publishing on 2year old models???
We bought a US 2017 Ford Escape(Kuga) SE 2.0 gas turbo and it’s a blast. It’s too bad the 1.5 gas turbo is only available on most and is quite slow, my 2013 Ford C-Max 2.0 hybrid was faster than the 1.5 Escape. The Rogue Sport(Qashqai) 2.0 gas is smaller and slower than our Escape.
Hey man you seem to have a problem with Ford Kuga. I've noticed before that you always have more negatives concerning the Kuga than any other car models. I think the Kuga is a fairly good car in comparison to other similar models. I'm a BMW series 3 owner but I think you're too negative on the Kuga.
The Kuga is like a box on wheels. The Qashqai looks more youthful. The Kadjar is like a Renault: you like it or you don't. In this case looks like the smarter choice.
I would never buy Renault. They are junk in interior design. Matt, That central console in the Kuga that you say it is weird, it´s what attracts me the most. And that EcoBoost engine is another level. But... that firm suspension gives me headaches. So... Staying with Qashqai? eh...
What the hell does the Nissan do with all that space? Where does it hide it? How can it be the same car as the Kadjar and have a small boot and no interior space???
Try and review the Renault austral because it's so nice, cool and, beautiful and futuristic the austral is the kadjar 2 than what are you wanting for review it now 🙂☺️
After being in all of these at least once the kadjar is the most comfortable and has to be the best value, not as great to drive as the other but the kuga is just a bit overpriced where I’m from and the qashqai seats are like a bench and it doesn’t feel as nice as the others
I was looking at the Kuga last year (pre Ateca) . I liked it the best out the then current offerings. Only in titanium an TX spec. The biggest issue then was it's engine choices. Their mpgs was terrible. I fell upon the rave 4 hybrid, and found that seems to be the best overall SUV. The Atecta the best handling, and the 3008 the best looking. Depending on one's needs, if you want a smaller SUV, that's the only 3 you need to think about. Saying all that, unless you need something a little higher, for better in/egress, I'd go (and am) for a good old estate. Drive better, and offer the same if not more usable space, better mpg (on average)... Sadly a dying breed.
