Amen! Brother! I own a 2012 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V and wouldn’t trade that thing in for a rocket. I love that car and as you said about us being a rare breed with these cars, it’s so true because I saw another guy with the same car as mine and we both waved at each other and gave thumbs up with big smiles knowing that we drive cool rare cars. 😊
@@kizunaaiartificialintellig5155 they’re not common at all, you might have seen the regular SR, I see maybe 1 or 2 in a whole year in Southern California
I love it when I'm at a traffic light go straight and someone pulls up in the lane that is supposed to take a right or left and I think that my car is just a Sentra and that they're going to cut me off when the light turns green and instead they get shut down I love looking in the rear view mirror and seeing the look on your face like they are thinking to themselves how did that happen! I love driving a sleeper because people have no idea what this car can do!!!!;-)
Thanks, it was an excellent Japanese commentary of Nissan's engineering leadership and philosophy. It was also a great opportunity to learn more about Germany's Nurburgring racetrack build standards and distinguishing turns.
I think its funny when people compare other cars to the SPEC V it's always a car that is supercharged or has a turbo or one with a v6 or v8 its never naturally aspirated 4 cylinder like the Spec V! because they need those extras to compete with this car!
I love hearing about people enjoying their wolves in sheep's clothing ;). It's amazing how many times I've driven for 2 hours to my friends' house without noticing the radio was off until I pulled into his driveway. SpecV for life! I think I'll be getting an exhaust manifold from Weapon R.
Unfortunately, there will no longer be a Spec-V in Nissan's line-up :(. I love seeing other Spec-Vs on the road, it's such a special car and I hope that I have many years to enjoy my first and by the looks of it last Spec-V.
I just bought my third Spec V...a new 2012 in black. LOVE it. Swapped out the stock air cleaner system for a K&N short ram air system. I almost never see Spec V's on the road, which I like. I removed the 'SENTRA' letters from the trunk lid; now people always ask me "what kind of car is that?" Looks like Nissan won't be bring back the SE-R option for 2013?
Someone had to do it! I think we would agree that a 240 like car *instead* of our Spec-V's would've been purchased if the price was right. As far as notchy transmissions; I like it. It's a raw effect and connects the driver to what is exactly going on. I've driven cars with weak ass clutches and whimpy shifters with no feel and I hate it. I don't think I'll be driving mine in twenty years either but it is a venerable platform to get started into motorsports.
allsentra d\o\t com is your new hobby. As far as modifications go, it depends on your goals. I've got a custom rear frame brace right now and will be picking up an exhaust manifold next/ECU tuning.
I have an 04" and man is it fast! I leave a honda in the dust almost everyday! Unless they have that gay-20 swap crap! Sorry, I ment k-20. My english is not great!
