THIS IS A NISSAN V6 VQ40DE ENGINE OF 2008 PATHFINDER R51. THIS IS ACTUALLY MY FIRST TIME AND THE SECOND TIME AROUND AS I INSTALLED A WRONG TIMING CHAIN GASKET KIT FROM ROCKAUTO AND HAD A PROBLEM (DTC CODE) ENDED UP ORDERING A TIMINGCHAIN COVER O-RING SEAL + REAR TIMING COVER OIL GALLERY GASKET SEAL + INTAKE CAM GEAR SEAL FROM Z1OFFROAD. THEY HAVE GENUINE NISSAN PARTS. THIS IS A STEP BY STEP PROCEDURE TO PERFORMED A TIMING CHAIN/GUIDES/TENSIONER GUIDES & WATERPUMP. PART 1.

Bro... i love u... I'm going to replace the same + oil pump + thermostat... Does it make any sense to replace head gaskets without resurfacing ?

🫡 why are you doing the oil pump? If you don't mind me asking. If there a good reason why your changing the head hasket?

Could I DM you somehow and send you a video on my Pathfinder? It's making a rattling/ticking noise that gets louder when I'm idling or driving at low speeds. I think it's the timing chain but I'm not sure, obviously. No Check Engine light has came on but I've been hearing the noise for over 4 months now.

Remove the belt, to isolate the accessory. And if the noise is still there then the noise is in the timing chain.

What's the reason you're changing the timing chain? was it failing?

No reason, just wanted to do it as preventative maintenance.

i have roughly 13yrs experience in automotive industry so that's how i know a bit of stuff. I went to school for 2 terms and dropped out.
