Thanks for the view. Funny thing is, I had to replace something in my dash a month ago and my own airbag light is still blinking. Maybe I should watch my own video and fix it right now.
Your instructions are excellent. Needed to reset after installation of a Sirius/XM tuner. This procedure was performed on a 2004 Nissan Titan. Thanks again.
The only thing I would suggest is reseat the connector again and try it again. If the light wasn’t doing that before your radio install, then it is most likely not your clock springs in your steering wheel.
I performed this fix on a 2011 Suzuki Equator. Which is a clone of a Nissan Frontier. Turned the switch on, without starting, 4 times. When I saw it blinking slower, I started the truck and no more blinking airbag light AND the “Passenger Airbag Off” light was out too. Now as soon as I get my new tires and new TPMS sensors installed, no more lights on my dashboard. YOU ROCK!!! Edit: I just purchased this truck in 2023 with only 73k miles on it. I took it to my local Nissan dealer (no Suzuki dealers nearby) for a used vehicle inspection prior to purchase. I was told that someone had the center of the dash off. The part with the radio in it and they forgot to plug in a wire. That’s what the code said but, they didn’t tell me how to reset it. You did. Thank you.
Do your steering wheel functions work? Cruise control, radio buttons, horn? Could be your clock spring. That is a more elaborate change. A solid light could also be corroded wiring.
A solid light has me puzzled. I would disconnect the battery, and unplug each air bag sensor (light behind radio bezel and under each seat) and see if the plugs read resistance with a multimeter. Easy to do and harbor freight has some cheap ones for like 10 bucks. Then reconnect everything and see if the reset will work.
Front seat are really easy to remove. First disconnect your battery. There are four Mount bolts. The two in the back have little plastic covers over them. Use a socket and ratchet set to remove them. Then tilt the seat back and remove the electrical connectors. There could be two to five depending on your model for airbags, seatbelts and heated seat connections. After that just pull it out.
Thx! This airbag light has been on for a couple weeks now while we’re traveling. I did the reset as you demonstrated, the first time nothing. Tried it again a second time and it reset the second time! So happy not to have to look at the light the long drive home!
That light should go out if someone is in the passenger seat only. If it demotes go off when someone is sitting there, probably the connector under the seat is bad.

Old post but worked like a charm! Different than another video. I needed to shut off as soon as light goes out, then count to 5. Third time diagnostic, then fourth time... Gone!! TYSM!
If you keep resetting it and it comes back then there is something to n the system that isn’t connected, has an open or a short wire, or the clock spring in your steering wheel needs attention. Check the connections under your seats and then n the center dash piece first. Clock spring is a different try video. Good luck and thanks to the view.
It didn't work for me. I have a TITAN 2011, i did it 3 times and and the forth time i turn it on the light continues blinking the same way (fast). Please Help!
You'll need to replace your clock spring that goes behind your steering wheel. It's a 37 dollar part on eBay. Once you replace it, you'll need to do this exact reset. Just did mine
I’d it comes back in again check your connectors under each seat and the one behind the radio bezel that goes to the warning light. If they are good, it is most likely your clock spring in your steering wheel.
The clock spring allows for electrical connection to stay in contact while the wheel turns. If it breaks, your airbag light will flash until you replace it. Kind of a pain to change it to be honest.
