The most expensive necklace in the world is the Hope Diamond with estimated cost of $350 million. Although the L Incomparable diamond is big and internally flawless the color is very low and give a little sparkle. It is deep brownish yellow one of the lowest color in GIA color scale . Color D is the highest. I rather have the big 228.2 carats pear shape G VS1 called The Rock Sotheby's recently sold for $22 million and I still have $36 million. You can buy another color D Flawless diamond over 100 carats for $36 million complete with the suspending necklace which can also be used for the Rock diamond and may save some more. That is why it took almost 30 years for the L Incomparable to be sold because of the reject color. Nobody want to buy it. Very lucky it was sold.
