They addressed most of the complaints people had with the Tini/Tip2 user interface. Props for that. Water resistance and button size are fair complaints. Not a deal breaker for me, though. It'd make a good gift, maybe a better gift with more color options than black and almost black.

Not to forget that the flash light is totally functional even when attached to power source (while charging) ex attached to power bank or portable power source, i hoped that the key were back lit while operating ( they are while changing as indicator) and i wish that key chain attachment could rotate 360 degrees for easy maneuvering whilst hooked to anything. Great review, keep it up.
I already own one of these lights but I came to your video to learn how to use it. And I learned a few extra things as well too! Thanks man! Perfect video.
I like it! It would be cool to see a 90 degree version, with the LEDs facing out the bottom. Add a clip and it could be a super compact lapel/head light.
I'm commenting as I'm watching so it might end up having it,but there should be a 500 lumen strobe security feature if u press both buttons down together
I love this little thing, I love the led to show the info and I absolutely love the 2 button UI. I use this little light more than any of my others. Was my first nitecore and I liked it so much I bought an ec11. And yes it's miniscule!
Hi, When your in the Demo mode and after 30 seconds when it turns off, if within about 2 seconds you press on again you will get a temporary Daily mode and then when you turn off the light next time you turn on it will be back on Demo.
My guess is so people can do demonstrations with it at shows and events when they are selling it. This way they don't have to worry about leaving it on
Fantastic review! I bought one and love it but ever since I have been carrying it with my keys, it drove me nuts that it was constantly drained. I knew there was a 2nd lock function and I found how to do it on your video (since I threw away the manual long ago) so thank you for that! My flashlight will now be ready to use whenever I need it instead of draining in my pocket with the 500lumen light
Amazing Light. So much better than my old 9-volt Pak-lite. I would like to see an accessory magnet that snaps on the bottom. An emergency strobe light would also be nice. Now I just have to wait for the TINI 3!
Debating between this TINI 2 and the $10 cheaper TIP SE for EDC pocket carry. I consider these type of lights as small enough to always carry, like a Leatherman Micro, SAK Rambler, or similar. They’re 'something’s better than nothing' that requires minimal real estate and can be conveniently EDC'd when you feel your Spiderco and 1000+ lumen aren’t necessary at the time. From what I’ve observed about these lights; Both have USB-C charging, decent lumens, battery life, lighting presets and easily carried. The TINI 2 offers a charging port cover, the display, and a non-parasitic battery drain button lock feature. The slightly larger TIP SE has the multi-use clip for using on a hat or pocket and to cover the buttons preventing accidental discharge. The TIP SE is a really nice light and the $20 TIKI is also very interesting, but the TINI 2 is looking good for me with the what it offers.
I’ve had my Tini 2 for a few years now, and it’s held up well but the LCD display has shifted a little and is not centered properly any longer. I still dig it though! Great video (esp the function combo explanations) 👍🏼
Great review! It looks like they took the display and UI from the Nitecore TUP and placed it into an even smaller package, which is pretty good since I absolutely love my TUP.
I already have the Nitecore TIP SE which is great and never leaves my keys and it's 700 lumens but doesn't have a lock out mode. I like this one because the lock out modes, 500 lumens is good but that display though!
im not trying to dride nitecore at all but this is my favorite flashlight ive ever owned. im definitely going to buy a bigger one at some point, but i havent even had a need for a bigger one. i just want one with a replaceable 21700 for emergencies.
I really fancy buying this but at the same time I always have my phone on me for those odd occasions when I need a short throw torch. Hmmm, it is lovely though. That little info display and it's USB-C.... tempting!
If I get this I will put a tempered glass screen protector on it. I really want to get it!. I have a stream light stinger SD (big boy) BSSV5 from Thrunite ( medium just barely pocket size) now I need a small one that isn't A piece of crap. They make a titanium version now which is what I think I am going to get. Thanks for the showcase!
I am so torn between this and TIP SE.. both are good.. but i like the size of this thing.. and the only reason why its holding me back is the OLED screen which is i fear of getting scratched a lot when i put it on my keychain with keys on it.
Ya I wanted to see a size comparison with the TUP because I have one already and to me it's big for a keychain but I have been looking for something a bit bigger
Turbo is for emergencies, its like these companies dont understand that. You need turbo to be INSTANT (no delay) on, with no cycling whatsoever. Everytime, without fail, maximum brightness. And any brighness shifts or stepups should be on a separate button. Such a shame that the UI (which is completely typical with modern lights) is unsuitable for the actual intended and proper use of a turbo function. In many ways, because of overly feature rich UI's, flashlights are actually going backwards. PS: I was an infantryman, private investigator and repossessor in the most violent city in America (2022) for a combined 25 years.
Im sick of lights with too many functions. They’re falling in the category of a multitool with too many useless tools that exist just to justify its own existence.
that's a good comparison. We need something equivalent to leatherman skeletools for EDC, and they're seemingly all making the Wave plus. Heck I don't even like strobe mode. I want on, off, and then maybe a twistable head for a low output mode. With as much output as humanly possible. And that's it. Good review btw, thanks very much for posting it.
@@themightycrixus1131 great, still looks good after a few weeks on my keyring with heaps of keys. First stage lock is usually enough to prevent drain but when it's not you notice it quickly enough and ample battery left. Double tap to turbo for useful 500 lumens is usually fine. Otherwise unlock and choose more mild.
@@fredio54 i appreciate the reply! Yeah i imagine the titanium (since it is not painted) will stand the best against the test of time. I will probably use an old glass screen protector to cut a piece and put on top of the display. Good that yours is doing well!
I like it better than my Roxyvons. It holds the turbo longer- even though you have to hold the button continually. What I really like is the 2 button UI- it's so handy. And once you get used to the locking system it's brilliant. Of course the oled is super useful.
Good night ! The display of my Tini2 doesn,t turn on anymore. Do you know if it is a defect or configuration problem ? (it should turn on when pressing the mode key). Thanks !
First! Is this better than the TIP SE? I think throw and run time are my most important attributes (as long as the light is tiny, which is most important to me)
The TIP SE is 200 lumens and 100 cd brighter. But only has 1 meter more of throw distance. Looks like the TINI 2 has very similar runtimes but has 10 hours more batt like on ultra low but half of the batt life on high...which is crazy.
Guys don't waste your money. The 1st month I had this the key chain attachment broke. So much for a key chain light. But it was bright so I decided to pocket carry it. Until the buttons fell off. So now I have to use a pen to activate it. Not really the impressive light I was hoping for.
I’ve had this thing for about two months. It’s very unreliable. It never turned on when I needed it even with a full battery. It did that after a month now it does not work at all. I press and hold to unlock it and nothing. It feels very put together and sturdy but way to many electronics to go bad. I really wanted this thing to be good.
Having a turbo mode that only works by holding the button down only is stupid. Not everyone has good finger/hand movement or strength to hold it down. Most other flashlights don't do this. They give you the option to do both. And when turbo is on it will just drop from turbo to high automatically. Dumb turbo functionality. And not having a detachable clip to attach it to a hat jeez Nightcore.
@@tahirahmed33 tip se 700lumens where tip2 up to 720lumens.. but tip se cheaper usd4-5 at aliexpress. Maybe im getting tip se with my next salary LoL 😂
@@ker0jumpfroggy531 I get it on Amazon for 29£ ,I'll wait till they have a warehouse deal like new item. Sometimes they do only box is damaged the item is brand new and unused with all the accessories and instructions. I recently bought a nitecore nc65 for £51 it's RRP £65 and some places it's as high as £80 , you cannot get this for £51 or less anywhere in the UK.
"Small"????? PAL that is so irrelevant. Comparing it to voins and other lights. What DOES matter is how much "added size" it adds to the keychain e.g. 4-5 keys PLUS a key FOB PLUS whatever ever else you have attachced.....a rabbit's foot??? :) Lol11 Small....hehe....the real test would have been for hyou to add the Tiny 2 to your keychain and try putting it in his jeans pocket....stand and sit....try taking it out ...heh...good luck!! :)
PAL? You seem as if you should be doing reviews on these lights. You have a lot to say about my opinions. I’ll wait for your review and expect a lot of my opinions in your comments. I’ll be waiting.
