Sometimes, Cops abuse their power to make a point. We were parked illegally (taking pictures) and were asked to leave which we complied with immediately. For whatever reason, this meat-head of a cop either didn't like the color of Dan's Huracan, or just had a bone to pick because he just decided to STAND IN FRONT OF HIS LAMBORGHINI AND NOT LET HIM LEAVE.
We also looked up the law the cop was talking about. It actually ISN'T required to have a legal document showing insurance. A phone document will suffice. The big thing here was PA doesn't issue that document.

(3) Finally, you are ignoring the main point: Dan&Co broke the law, hence Dan&Co should behave appropriately. NOTE: Why did Dan&Co not have any video of the events that lead up to that point? Clever. According to their laws, Electronic proof of insurance has been accepted in the state of New Jersey as valid proof for quite some time now, so long as the issuer has at least 1 anti-counterfeit device in place for those "E-cards." That can include anything as simple as a watermark. It was signed into law in March 2015. NJAC 11:3-6.1. It blows my mind that the very people sworn to uphold the law don't actually know the law. Happens all the time, unfortunately.

I'm not a lawyer, so correct me if I'm wrong, but if someone tells you to leave then actively blocks you from doing so, would that not be considered an unlawful detention? And assuming the "detective" was in fact an officer of the courts/judicial system, would this be considered entrapment since the detective gave a notice of trespass in asking the Lambo owner to leave, then acted to prevent said order being followed?

Edward Dergosits - Obviously the cops, they were taking pictures and were going to leave if he wasn’t standing in the way.. They told him he was blocking a public passageway but the whole time they were arguing they didn’t tell him to move his car off of it. Meanwhile all those cops could’ve been hassling a real criminal. Not really. When a cop is trying to inform you of the law of the location to which you are currently in, and you can't shut up, that's not harassment. That's your mouth overriding what little brain you might have. You may not need an issuance card in the place that you are from, but that's not the case for everywhere you go. Just like, a speed limit in one location is not the speed limit for all locations.

x92811 no identification was given to indicate he was cop. It’s policy for PUBLIC SERVANTS to give their name and badge number when making contact with someone. But their ego takes over. Nobody else gave insurance either and he let them go. They guy is a jackoff plain and simple and since he lives in Jersey he’ll most likely be killed by real criminals, not people taking automotive photography. And when his family is mourning him and saying what a great guy he was, I hope this video pops up so they can see what a petty piece of shit he was and he did nothing to protect citizens. Actually New Jersey cops are one of the highest paid law enforcement in the country where normal local cops have starting salary of 60k and state police start at 100k+. compared to like southern states where salary is 25k-30k starting. that's a huge difference

Even when the driver was stalling to leavers first , he wasn’t a trouble maker. You can tell that he intends to leave. I get along with everyone as a security guard for years and never power trip and giving people the benefit of the doubt. The detective didn’t even try to be a peacemaker & help escalate the problem. Even though the diver was joking around with his buddies and cleaning the car, he is a lot nicer than many wealthy people I know. The detective is lucky he didn’t get a lawsuit from someone who can afford a good lawyer This video made my blood boil. Even though I am an abiding citizen who sees the cops side 90% of the time, the cops are so wrong on this one. The cops made it personal before it even escalate.
