sorry for all the separate comments. 1) just finished watching and i think Twork needs to understand that even though URL still benefits from his appearances, part of what theyre selling is a level of execution from their headliner talent. so when he shows up and doesn't perform to the standard theyre trying to promote, it reflects really poorly on the league, and they deal with a lot of backlash from their audience/purchasing base by continually booking a talent that under delivers. 2) also, there was clearly a great benefit to him getting lower money - he felt the pain in his pockets and as he said, that was a big part of what inspired him to take his work more seriously and show up prepared and ready to go. so it had a positive effect, and it's something that may not have happened if URL kept the cycle going of paying him big money even though he was fucking up regularly. that real name brandon shit was HORRIBLE and embarrassing for all parties involved, including URL
