The educational curriculum in Nigeria has failed Yoruba youths. We have millions of Yoruba youths who don't know that 70 per cent of the population of Kwara state is Yoruba people. We have Yoruba youths who don't know that there are seven (7) Yoruba-speaking local government governments in Kogi state. We have Yoruba youths who don't know that Usens, Egbeta, Aiyegunle Akoko Oke, Ologbo etc are all Yoruba-speaking towns and villages in Edo state. We have Yoruba youths and even politicians who don't know about the Yoruba kingdoms in Aniocha North local government in Delta state. We have Yoruba youths who don't know that Warri means Iwerre which is the same as the Iwerre in Oyo state. We have Yoruba youths who do not know that Itsekiris are Yorubas ethnically and linguistically. We have produced an enormous numbers of educated illiterates in Yorubaland. We even have millions of Yoruba youths who don't know that we have millions of Yorubas outside Nigeria in West Africa.

Why are the Christians and Muslims crossing to the boundaries of the Onisẹse? And if you are a Muslim or a Christian and you want to become an Oba, you must leave the religion you are practicing before, and start practicing Traditional religion, because Obaship is in their domain. That is why many Christisns will never aspire to become Oba or even take a chieftancy title. The Traditionalists should find a way to enshrine this in the law.
