My fave moment in this live is when the guys reminisced and talked about their earlier years and the stories of their amazing parents❣️😌🌹🙏🏼 That touched me so much. 🥰
This is my favourite NKOTB interview (though I didn't see it live 2 years ago). I love this because you learn so much about who they are as individuals by hearing about their parents. 1) Hearing that Donnie's mom just saw the whole thing as normal gave me a 3D picture of where Donnie's perspective of life comes from. Donnie may or may not have known it back then but that one decision changed his future generations lives which is just miraculous! 2) Jordan and Jon's mom saying that "Maurice is a beautiful man" is such a lovely thing to hear, I obvs don't know her but believe she must be the most open-minded person you could possibly meet, wish there were more people like that in this world and I loved how she encouraged Jordan to go ahead with the whole thing despite his doubts. 3) Joey's mom sounds amazing. You can really tell that she instilled a lot of core values into him. His dad sounds like a legend too, like a protagonist in a movie! 4) I would have loved to hear more from Danny about Betty (but we understand). From the pictures I've seen, she looked like a really warm, comforting person.
I am currently a mom and have been a fan since 87 or 88 when I was 14/15. (I am only a week older than Joe). And even though I have been a fan all these years, I still haven't been to a concert. Back in the day, obviously I was a little older than most fans, I didn't announce that I was a fan so that I wouldn't get ridiculed. Now I could care less. The fun thing is that earlier this week on my way home from work (I work for the MN Dept of Health) I had NKOTB playing in the car and my son wanted me to turn it up. So I did and we rocked out to you guys. I would love to bring my son with me to a concert. My son might have Down Syndrome, but he LOVES music. I even brought him with me to see you guys at the Mall Of America when you guys had got back together and were touring. He was a bit younger for that quick concert since he is now 17. #NKOTBMOM
Yes, my mom is the best she took me to my very first NKOTB concert in 90'-91' and continues to support my love for you guys to this day! She surprises me all the time with tickets and attends the concerts with me, (she says she just enjoys watching me sing and dance along with you guys!)😘
I just wanted to say, to everyone who lost their Mama's, my heart is with yall, but this is especially for Danny, I know it's been a little while, but no one ever gets over losing their parent/parents, and I grew up with all of y'all, alot of us did, and when Miss Betty passed, we couldn't share the pain with you like we wanted to, and we couldn't say how much we loved Miss Betty thru the early years, even if it was only thru a t.v. screen, but she was an amazing woman, and she raised an amazing boy, and just wanted to let ya know, we love ya Danny and to Miss Betty, Happy Mother's Day.❤️🤟🙏✝️
I love Donnie's comments at around 1:19:40 where he's talking about how all the parents would "parent" them:Whenever a parent was out on the road with them, they became the parent to ALL of them that night/weekend, etc. My Mom Friends and I have kids who are all about the same age and it's sort of the same way: If one of us has all the kids together, we're still FAMILY! We trust each other with the kiddos and it works out great. Such a great memory for you all.....and it's proof that your immediate family was extended way beyond the big families you already had. ;)
NKOTB HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO YOURE WIFES THERE LUCKY WOMEN LOVE YOURE FAN SENSE THE BEGINNING SAN CLEMENTE CA JARED YOURE AWSOME FOR DOING THESE LIVE STREAMS YOURE A GENIOUS
Thank u nkotb for making my mom is today ur music I think she should win cuz shes the biggest fan n she definitely loves u guys we love u 3 GENERATION of nkotb fans
(This Blockhead had a serious attack of nostalgia and been catching up on NKOTB videos and new music while on break). I heard you on the radio in 1988 and became a fan instantly. My mother found a way for me to have your cassettes and giant posters since they were not readily accessible. She advised that I write to a friend of hers in the States, who then sent me your music and memorabilia via post-- padded mail and tubes of posters. :) My father raised money to bring me and my cousin to your '92 concert in Manila. We traveled four hours by bus and them some (one way), and he sat down somewhere for three hours to wait for us. My parents were beyond supportive, God bless their souls. Pretty sure I thanked them profusely, but they had to listen a few more years to you guys before I moved on to grunge (they supported that as well). :) We are a fortunate generation, and we change the world because of how our parents supported and raised us. Thank you for that insight. #OurStory
Not one new kid parent tried to gold dig and that's a testament to how good of families these guys had! So many parents would of tried to get into the money.
Hi hubba Jon joey Danny donnie Jordan biggest fan 34 yrs happy birthday to ur daughter. Happy mother'sday to all of ur moms n Danny's mom in heaven love u guys then now n forever
I saw you guys on your first (I think) tour...in Parkersburg WV in a highschool. The year sounds right...87...I would have been 11-12. My dad stood in back of this small auditorium and watched his little girl standing, trying balance on a folding chair, shaking her rump! He tells the story alot (now- I'm 45) just to embarrass me! I'll never forget the concert! (Saw you at the Ohio State Fair a couple years later and again about 5 years ago.)❤️
I still have my copy of Our Story. My entire allowance went to it. And my mom worked at JC Penney, so always wished the mom's would tour her store in CT, but they didn't make it. But got great merchandise. Got my jumbo pins from there that I still have
When New Kids were first on the scene, I became obsessed after seeing the Please Don't Go Girl Video during a Nick Rocks episode on Nickelodeon when they joined a fan for a bowling birthday party. I had never reacted to any celebrity that way before, so my mother had a mission. She had trouble finding anything related to the group because there was literally no merch to buy at the time. Well, she and a couple co-workers spent an hour going through all the teen magazines in Kmart, that is where they worked, trying to find anything related to NKOTB. She found a couple articles and bought those magazines for me for Christmas. The next year for Christmas she got me a New Kids storage chest (yes I still have it) along with a bunch of other things. Because I was a big girl she had a friend make me a New Kids sweatshirt because I wouldn't have fit into the ones that were available to buy, so her friend MacGyver'd one for me. I am and will forever be grateful for everything she has done for me and my siblings, including getting bracelets at Ticket Master and standing in line waiting to see if she would be able to get us tickets to the show...btw, she was! #NKOTBMOM #OFD
Just wanted to list a couple of things of note... 1 after my older cousin went to so many concerts and was so proud she got one of Joey Mac's hats, and she introduced me to you guys. 2 I still have 2 VHS tapes of the hanging tough and step by step that I watch with my daughter I still have my New Kids lunchbox and thermos set. 3 after I graduated from high school and moved out, the song that I sang to mother for her birthday was the NKOTB version of the 🎶Happy birthday to you, this is your day...🎶 which I played on a cassette player and sang to her karaoke style, using the guys as background singers... 4 my daughter who turned 10 in February, loves your music as she will pull out the VHS tapes as mentioned above, and watch them on her own time when I walk into her bedroom to her rockin' out.
Also just wanted to add that I am part of a three generational NKOTB fan base family, I wish that you could post pictures in the comments section on RU-vid, because I would love to show off the items mentioned in my comment above, as well as a video of my daughter and I dancing and bonding to your music... #NKOTBMOM

I've always wondered about Joe's Mom. He was soooo young. How did she let her very young boy just go off to different states and countries? They all have some pretty amazing parents.
Happy Mother's Day to you guy's mom's n wives n kids! In regards to the Man Lil Richard, it's sad for me because his music got me into all kinds an we shared the same birth date despite the age/year diff
My mom still has all the nkotb dolls (mine) at her house still in the boxes. I think she still has my nkotb coat. My room was covered in posters of the guys (Donnie was and still is my fave!). My friend actually met Jon on the broad st bridge in downtown Columbus after their ohio state fair show with tiffany. You would have thought she met God himself.
