@09JDCTrainMan I'd speculate that they're very close in horsepower and tractive effort. They're almost exact duplicates of each other. NKP 765 had been more recently given a complete rebuild, so it may have a slight advantage. I'm not sure if they've done any dynamometer testing on them for comparison.
PM has larger cylinders. NKP seems to blast more. PM seems more friendly as he whistles more. NKP has a slight wheelslip problem. NKP is usually at the front. NKP was marked most successful Berkshire on a website. PM is well known as Polar Express. Cannot tell who is better. Why isn't Nickel Plate Road's initials NPR?
